The Staller Center's Zuccaire Gallery announces Artists in Conversation: Howardena Pindell and Athena LaTocha, on Monday, March 20 at 4:30pm at Stony Brook University. Howardena Pindell is Distinguished Professor of Art at Stony Brook University, where she has taught for forty-three years.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of Theresa Rebeck's thriller, “Mauritius,” on Monday, March 13, at 7 p.m., directed by the playwright herself. The J (St. Louis Community Center) will welcome Rebekah Scallet as the New Jewish Theatre’s new artistic director. Scallet will begin her New Jewish Theatre career by producing the world-premiere of The Bee Play this September. Scallet replaces previous artistic director Edward Coffield.

Award-winning Broadway playwright Theresa Rebeck will write the book for the Broadway-aimed Working Girl. While she's had more plays produced on Broadway than any female playwright of our time, Working Girl would mark Rebeck's Broadway debut as a book writer for a musical.
