Tony Award nominated actor Tom Wopat (A Catered Affair, Annie Get Your Gun) will lead the cast for industry readings of AMERICAN INHERITANCE, a new play by Bob Stewart.

Long Wharf Theatre travels back in time to the romance and fun of Montmartre in the late 1800s  in its production of the musical My Paris, a imaginative retelling of the life of the artist Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, directed by Tony Award-winning director Kathleen Marshall, with music from the legendary French performer Charles Aznavour, and a book by Pulitzer Prize-winner Alfred Uhry, and with English lyrics and musical adaptations by Tony-winner Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years).

Dear Readers, I'm back from the Mothership (New York of course) to let you all in on some of the wonderful and not so wonderful things I saw with a few brief notes on each. And yes that includes my catching the juggernaut of all shows on Broadway right now, 'Hamilton'. Now there are some shows that I saw that are still in previews so I can't really review them but wanted to let you know about them anyway. So let's start at the top.

BOY, a co-production with the Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Ensemble Studio Theatre (William Carden, Artistic Director, Paul A. Slee, Executive Director)/Alfred P. Musical theatre licensing house Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) hosted 175 regional theatre managers and creatives for a celebration of their 10th year representing Broadway, Off Broadway and theatre for young audience shows. The invitation-only dinner and concert event was held Oct 15, aboard the luxury yacht Atlantica, setting sail from Pier 61 at 7pm, providing breathtaking views of New York City.

In her directorial notes for the Beck Center's production of Terrance McNally's MOTHERS AND SONS, Sarah May states, 'I was so struck by this play when I saw it on Broadway. Here was an unwritten chapter of the terrible AIDS Crisis!'
