Dave Koz's music and multitalented friends lit up the Kravis Center For The Performing Arts last night on all levels. It was a spectacular presentation of swinging holiday music and multi media lighting effects that had the West Palm Beach audience dazzled during the entire concert. Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour Will Return To Columbus With New Koz Christmas Album

In October 2019, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz released his new holiday album, Gifts of the Season. In the 11-track collection, Koz takes a very different stylistic approach, bringing a buoyant, soul/funk/pop feel to Christmas classics across different eras, and shedding new light on their rich musicality and lyrical depth. The accompanying 22nd annual Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour will feature Jonathan Butler, Melissa Manchester, Michael Lington, and special guest Chris Walker, all of which appear on the new album. Butler and Lington have also released new Christmas albums this fall, so in a first for the tour, the show will feature material from three brand new holiday albums.

The 62nd annual Monterey Jazz Festival wrapped up Sunday, September 29, with fans from across California and the country descending on the Monterey County Fairgrounds for a weekend which featured nearly 130 performances and events. The Festival was filled with many performances that stretched across a wide range of the jazz world and beyond, while maintaining a holistic approach and commitment to showcasing jazz legends and household name musicians alongside newer and emerging artists.

Local artists include the Honolulu Jazz Quartet, Henry Kapono presenting his Artist 2 Artist Concert Series featuring Blayne Asing, Elijah Sky and Mike Lewis's 2nd Annual Tribute to the Great City of New York. The Blue Note Comedy Series continues with comedian Esther Ku and '90s Alternative super group 10,000 Maniacs makes their Blue Note debut. We're celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Eddie Ortiz & Son Caribe and Yvette Moore presents a tribute to Gloria Estefan. Stef Mariani's invites you to her album release celebration of 'Highway of Love' and local favorites Good Foot Hawaii! take the stage. The Hawaii News Now Jazz Legends Series continues with Keiko Matsui and Lightnin' Larry Dupio presents an eclectic night of traditional and original Big Island blues. Willie K returns, electric blues guitar powerhouse Robben Ford takes the stage and the month rounds out with singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin.

On September 11, 2001, approximately 7,000 airline passengers were stranded in the sleepy Maritime town of Gander, Newfoundland. In a tremendous display of warmth and compassion, the townspeople opened their homes to the frightened newcomers, welcoming them like cherished friends. Their story is beautifully told in Come From Away, a beloved Broadway musical.
