Just in time for the 2018 World Series (teams to be determined later), Queens Theatre is proud to present the New York premiere of Leaving Brooklyn, Jeff Mandels' new play about family, love and baseball.

Take a feuding mother and daughter, a rebellious teenager granddaughter and throw in an outspoken lesbian feminist and you have the recipe for an unexpected treat at the Southwark Playhouse. Unexpected Joy is a new musical, written by Janet Hood and  Bill Russell, making its UK debut and follows a turbulent week in the life of one family. Hippy baby-boomer Joy is planning a memorial concert for her late singing and life partner Jump, who she never married. After inviting daughter Rachel and granddaughter Tamara, Joy must pluck up the courage to tell them that she is finally getting married the day after the concert. To a woman.

The European premiere of Bill Russell and Janet Hood's new musical Unexpected Joy is underway. The powerful all-female cast is made up of:Janet Fullerlove (Fortune's Fool, The Beggar's Opera) as Joy; Jodie Jacobs (Myth, Rock of Ages) as Rachel; Melanie Marshall (Guys and Dolls, Jane Eyre) as Lou; and Kelly Sweeney (Ronald William White Acting Through Song Prize Winner 2018) as Tamara.

It's a fitting irony that Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group commences its season with 'Side Show,' a relatively untapped musical in contemporary theater canon. It's a gutsy show, flaunting with unabashed elan the grim underbelly of circus entertainment.

MTH is excited to welcome Corey Cott for his solo show AN EVENING WITH COREY COTT; Monday, September 24 at 7pm. Most recently Corey originated the role of Donny Novitski and received critical acclaim for his performance in the Tony Award winning musical Bandstand. Previous roles include two years starring as Jack Kelly in Disney's Newsies, his Broadway debut, which was immediately followed by the Broadway revival of Gigi starring opposite Vanessa Hudgens. Corey's solo show includes songs and stories from his Broadway career as well as a few surprises!

Manoa Valley Theatre is celebrating its momentous 50th Anniversary with a play season filled with star-studded audience favorites, Broadway blockbusters and compelling dramas that herald the next half-century for the noted Off-Broadway playhouse. It will also produce the Hawaii premiere of Allegiance, a Broadway musical about the Japanese American internment during WWII and one family's extraordinarily divisive experience.

The cast is set for A Sensible Theatre Co.'s production of Pageant: The Musical, co-presented with ACTLab June 15 - July 8, 2018. This fabulous production will coincide with Seattle PRIDE 2018.
