a?oeMais ouia?? meets Midway in ATP's new presentation of OperaLesque, a tantalizing mix of opera, classical burlesque, and aerial circus acts, running August 23-25 at the ATP Garage, 6464 Hwy 93 in Whitefish. OperaLesque will feature some of the greatest opera singers in the nation from the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera companies mixed with tantalizing burlesque. Patrons will step into the world reminiscent of the Moulin Rouge and the big-top circuses of old, enjoying cocktails at the ATP Garage while being treated to vocal and physical virtuosity around them and above them. The late-night performances are all at 9pm and are for adults only. Only 60 seats are available per performance.

Set to music written by Country Music Hall of Famer, Dolly Parton, it will be performed by 30 students ages 13-18 from 6 different schools across the Flathead Valley. Ten year old Dylynne Cosand from Bigfork has been chosen to portray the title character in Alpine Theatre Project's upcoming production of Matilda the Musical, based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl. The musical, part of ATP's 2018 Broadway Summer Season, will open July 7 and run in rotating repertory until July 20 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center. Cosand was chosen after a statewide search to find a young actress to play the young Matilda, a a precocious and confident girl gifted with an extraordinary intellect.

The Tony Award-nominated musical is based on the iconic illustrations by Charles Addams and the hit TV show they spawned, and will be performed by 31 students ages 13-18 from 9 different schools across the Flathead Valley. It is part of the ATP Kids theatre education program and is presented by Kalispell KiDDS.

Tony Award nominee and Broadway veteran, Barbara Walsh, brings Terrence McNally's Master Class back to its birthplace when she portrays legendary opera diva, Maria Callas, in a production of the play at Alpine Theatre Project (ATP) in Whitefish, Montana tonight, June 15 through June 24. The Tony Award winning play was originally developed at "The Gathering" playwriting conference in nearby Bigfork, MT in the early 1990's. ATP's production is the first professional production of the play in the area. It is directed by David Ackroyd.
