GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced that Be More Chill: Original Broadway Cast Recording two-LP vinyl set is now available exclusively at Barnes & Noble . The album was released for digital download and streaming, in addition to a two-disc CD, earlier this year. 

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts opens its season with the Ordway Original Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller, which begins performances on Sept. 10 and runs through Sept. 22.

Last Days of Summera?"a new musical based on the best-selling novel by Steve Klugera?"will kick off the landmark 2019/20 season at George Street Playhouse. This highly anticipated production, directed by Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies on Broadway), will star Teal Wicks, following her performance as Lady Cher in Broadway's The Cher Show, and Bobby Conte Thornton, known for A Bronx Tale on Broadway. 

The complete cast is set for ROCK OF AGES Hollywood, which will open this fall at a specially built performance venue and nightlife destination on Hollywood Boulevard named after the venue at the center of the show, The Bourbon Room.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

DPAC announces that the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its DPAC debut for a limited engagement January 14-19, 2020, as part of SunTrust Broadway's 2019 / 2020 season.  Tickets to individual shows of COME FROM AWAY go on sale Thursday, August 29th. 

While it might seem sacrilegious to host a non-musical at the famed Ogunquit Playhouse, modern day audiences should know that the early years of the theater hosted a slew of non-musical productions. In fact, it was many years ago that I saw a production of Love Letters and an adaptation of Dracula.

It was forty years ago when Shakespeare in the Park's Delacorte Theater was last invaded by The Bard's CORIOLANUS, but perhaps The Public's politically-minded artistic director Oskar Eustis thought this would be a good time to present a drama about an inexperienced politician who initially gains favor on a wave of populism, only to suffer downfall when his disdain for those outside of his privileged class is exposed.

The 10th Anniversary Production of ROCK OF AGES currently playing at New World Stages (340 W 50th St), will extend its limited engagement twelve additional weeks, now playing through January 12, 2020.
