Dundee Rep has announced the cast for The Bookies, a riveting new black comedy premiering on 3 May. Fresh off starring opposite each other in the Scottish Premiere of The Children, Irene Macdougall and Barrie Hunter star in the production as Michelle and Harry. Also joining from the Ensemble, Ewan Donald takes on the role of Pat, and returning to the Dundee Rep stage after making his Rep debut in Wings Around Dundee as well as starring in A Christmas Carol, Benjamin Osugo takes the stage as John.
Hoff-Barthelson Music School's Annual Contemporary Music Festival, The Music of Our Time, takes place Monday, May 9, 2022, through Sunday, May 15, 2022, and will include a world premiere commissioned by the School. Brooklyn-based artist Charlotte Rose Benjamin self-released her debut album Dreamtina. Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning rock musical Rent takes over Portland Center Stage hot off its 25th anniversary. Rent will be directed by PCS's Associate Artistic Director Chip Miller. It begins previews on May 21, opens on May 27, and runs through July 10 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. The production, originally slated to run through June 26, has already been extended due to strong ticket sales.
