Tony and Olivier-winning OHenry Productions has announced a post-show conversation with Jewish faith leaders following the October 20 performance of This Beautiful Future. The production, which opened on September 20, 2022, will conclude its run at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre.

The ACLU and the NYCLU have announced the initial line up of performers and presenters of the 20th Annual Sing Out For Freedom benefit concert. The event will take place on Monday, October 24th at 7:30pm.

Filipino-Canadian singer-actor Darren Espanto does a cover song of Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Joriah Kwame’s “Top of the World” from the live-action and animation hybrid film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile,” which is screening now in the Philippines.

For the first time, 'A Christmas Carol' is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale. With music by Pasek & Paul , the film stars Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer, with Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley and Jen Tullock. Second Stage will offer simulcasts of its upcoming Broadway production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton, for the final two weeks of its run, January 31 – February 12, 2023, allowing theater fans who aren’t able to attend in person the opportunity to witness a live Broadway performance from home.

Best known for their work on Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman, Pasek and Paul have written new original songs performed by Shawn Mendes, Javier Bardem, and Constance Wu, with contributions from Mendes, Ari Afsar, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Mark Sonnenblick, and Joriah Kwamé.

Acclaimed creators of family entertainment TheaterWorksUSA has partnered with California's La Mirada Theatre to present high-quality theatre for young audiences. The six-time Tony and Grammy award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen has finally arrived at The Fisher Theater in Detroit! The much anticipated national tour began in 2019 and nearly three years later Dear Evan Hansen is here for the first time in Detroit, running through October 9th. This show is a contemporary musical with songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Professionally known as Pasek and Paul, the duo has written songs for well-known movies such as La La Land and The Greatest Showman. Pasek and Paul met at our very own hometown favorite, the University of Michigan, and have since gone on to win critical acclaim and have swiftly become a fan favorite in the Broadway community.

TheaterWorksUSA new, 60-minute production of The Lightning Thief: Theatre for Young Audiences Edition will perform in New York City before heading out on its quest around the country. Performing two shows only on October 1, 3 PM and 7 PM at Five Angels Theater.

Johnny Berchtold will join the cast of the New York Premiere production of CAMP SIEGFRIED, the new play from Tony Award-nominee BESS WOHL (2ST’s Grand Horizons and Make Believe), directed by Tony Award-winner DAVID CROMER (The Band’s Visit, 2ST’s Man from Nebraska) at Second Stage Theater.

The cast of the movie musical includes  Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock.  Dear Evan Hansen comes to Detroit’s Fisher Theatre September 27 – October 9, 2022. In advance of the start of performances, the production announced that it will host a digital ticket lottery offering fans the chance to purchase a limited number of $25 tickets available per performance.
