The producers of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL and Broadway In Chicago announced today that due to the rapidly-changing COVID landscape, the North American tour will now launch at Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre with performances beginning Saturday, March 19, 2022 through Saturday, May 14, 2022. 

Though hardly an ideal start to the new theatrical year, we want to applaud all of the incredible casts, creatives, backstage and front-of-house staff who are working so hard to keep shows on. The Musical will play in Minneapolis at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis).

Global Creatures today announced Moulin Rouge! The Musical will commence performances at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on 28 May 2022. Tickets for the Sydney season go on sale to the general public on Thursday 16 December, with pre-sale tickets available to waitlist members from Monday 13 December.

Unlike last year, where in-person viewing was prohibited to avoid the spread of COVID-19, spectators are returning to attend this year’s version of a time-honored tradition. With a huge live audience again, I am personally excited to watch and experience the tangible excitement as the crowds witness the parading of larger than life balloons, precise marching bands, and of course, incredible singers, dancers, and Broadway casts.
