How fetch! Mean Girls will celebrate "Mean Girls Day" on October 3, which this year falls on a "pink" Wednesday, with a free fan performance! The show will take place at 7:00pm at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street), featuring special appearances by members of the Mean Girls creative team. Center Stage Theatre recently announced a new performance series for their education students called Broadway at Center Stage. The event brings Broadway stars to Shelton to talk about their experiences growing up in the theater, their personal journeys to Broadway, and their best advice for being successful in the world of professional theater. The evening is capped off with a Q&A, a performance, and a meet and greet with the audience.

Shelton's Center Stage Theatre has been rapidly expanding their Education program for students in Pre-K through high school. Earlier this month, they unveiled renovated and dedicated classroom space along with over 30 acting, singing, dance, and technical theater classes beginning this fall. Now, they've announced plans for a new performance series, called Broadway at Center Stage, bringing New York's biggest and brightest stars to Shelton.
Today's subject, Eva Noblezada, made a huge splash in the West End a few years back in the revival of Miss Saigon, playing the coveted role of Kim. This was after being discovered at the Jimmy Awards, which recognizes excellence in high school theatre across the United States. Eva then went into Les Miserables on the West End before reprising Kim in Miss Saigon on Broadway. That performance garnered her a well-deserved Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.
