BTG Presents 'Berkshire Theatre Through The Eras' Free Exhibit At The Stockbridge Library

Berkshire Theatre Group is proud to partner with the Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives to present a free exhibit. Featuring photographs, letters, posters, props, and costume pieces, this exhibit chronicles the 90-year history of Berkshire Theatre through each of its distinct eras. Lillian Lee, Berkshire Theatre Group's Grants Administrator and Archivist, is planning the main exhibit with Barbara Allen, Curator of the Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives, curating a portion of the exhibit highlighting the building's life as The Stockbridge Casino.

Center Dance Ensemble's SNOW QUEEN Opens Dec 2

Center Dance Ensemble's annual holiday adventure, SNOW QUEEN comes to the Herberger Theater Center to kick-off seasonal festivities for the Valley. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale and set to Prokofiev's lush score, Center Dance Ensemble brings the wicked SNOW QUEEN to life!

Photo Flash: DARK OF THE MOON at The Sherman Playhouse

A perennial favorite Dark of the Moon is based on the haunting folk ballad of 'Barbara Allen.' Employing a large cast and imaginative settings in the Smoky Mountains, Dark of the Moon recounts the story of John, a strange 'witch boy' who upon first beholding the beautiful Barbara Allen immediately falls in love. He is given human form to woo and marry her on the condition that she remain true to him. Dark of the Moon was produced on Broadway in 1945.

Center Dance Delights with Ghosts Goblins Witches, Oh My!

Just in time for Halloween, Center Dance Ensemble performs a spooky, haunting program, Ghosts & Goblins & Witches, Oh My! October 19 - 21 at 7:30 and Oct 22 at 2:00 pm at the Herberger Theater Center, Stage West. Photo Flash: Sherman Playhouse to Open Mystifying Drama DARK OF THE MOON

On Friday, September 22, The Sherman Playhouse will debut its fall production of Howard Richardson and William Berney's Dark of the Moon, an eerie tale of forbidden love, set against the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains and the supernatural world. The curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. for a four-week run.

Center Dance Ensemble Announces 17-18 Season

Center Dance Ensemble and Artistic Director Fran Smith Cohen announce the company's 29th season for 2017/18 at the Herberger Theater Center. Center Dance Ensemble performs dance in the classical modern style, with four distinct performances, each telling enlightening and entertaining stories through movement.  

OSF Spring Festival Noons Schedule Announced

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival has unveiled its Spring Festival Noons schedule, with a wide range of events that includes "Death Becomes Him," a festive commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's passing on April 23, as well as a live demonstration of scenic painting techniques on March 26 and a two-day kickoff on May 14-15 for this year's Living Ideas series, centered around the world premiere of Lisa Loomer's Roe-.

Berkshire Theatre Group presentsThe Club at The Garage, directed by Rocco Sisto, co-directed and choreographed by Barbara Allen, with musical direction by Deb Lapidus and featuring Deborah Grausman, Kathy Jo Grover, Annette Miller and Maureen O'Flynn at The Garage at BTG's Pittsfield Campus. Opening Night is tonight, July 31 at 8pm, and the production closes Sunday, August 9 at 8pm.

THE LONG SHRIFT, Directed by James Franco, Begins Tonight at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that the World Premiere of The Long Shrift, written by Robert Boswell and directed by James Franco, would begin previews tonight, July 7th, 2014. The official opening night is set for July 13th, 2014 and closing night is August 23rd, 2014.
