Metropolitan Room presents Brad Simmons In the Company of Strangers: The Music of Paul Simon. Brad celebrates the iconic songbook of Paul Simon, focusing on his early tunes, the Simon & Garfunkel years.

In an exciting new collaboration between award-winning vocalist and performer Barb Jungr and Grammy and Emmy winner John McDaniel will perform at Feinstein's/54 Below on October 28-31, January 13 and 14 at 7pm and January 13 at 9:30pm. Barb and John will investigate The Beatles song catalog in their own unique and inimitable fashion. Barb and John celebrate Paul, John, George and Ringo with brand new arrangements, delving into some of their lesser-known songs with unexpected and captivating results.

With the Autumn well and truly underway, October kicks off to a sexy, wickedly funny start with Charlie Bicknell leading the glittering array of headline acts at Crazy Coqs. Swiftly followed by the Grammy-nominated American pianist and vocalist Judy Carmichael, the line up of female songstresses continues with the magical voice presence of Frances Rufelle. Hot on her stiletto heels comes the Broadway diva Christine Pedi and then to round off month, comes the maginificent and capitivating star of television, stage and screen, Anne Reid.

In this exciting collaboration, award winning-vocalist and performer, Barb Jungr, and Grammy and Emmy Award-winner, John McDaniel, bring their acclaimed show, Come Together, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only -- Friday, November 6 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, November 7 (7 p.m.)

This July, Joe's Pub at The Public presents four nights with the legendary cabaret artist Barb Jungr, performing her hit show Hard Rain: the Songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Hard Rain is also Jungr's latest award-winning album, released March 2014 to rave reviews. British chanteuse Barb Jungr is also a staunch defender of the cabaret faith, and an incredibly erudite one at that. In December 2012, for the British online current-affairs magazine, spiked, she made such a great argument for the cabaret art form—in the face of constant putdowns by judges of British singing competitions shows, among others—that BWW felt it needed to be read by the American cabaret community and its fans.

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, Music at the Mansion, on Sunday, May 31, at 3pm. Performers include Tracy Stark, FORTE and Richard Holbrook. Lydia DeLuca will be the 'Young Musician Moment" performer.

Hailed as the launchpad of the American theater, the two-time Tony Award-winning Eugene O'Neill Theater Center responsible for developing more than 1,100 new works for the stage as well as thousands of artists through the semester-long training programs of the National Theater Institute, recently announced the 2015 summer season of plays, musicals, and other works in development through the National Theater Institute, National Puppetry Conference, National Music Theater Conference, National Playwrights Conference, and the Cabaret & Performance Conference.

From the Oscars to the Tonys, the Grammys to Emmys, awards ceremonies are always a hit-or-miss situation. Either the event is absolutely excellent or ends with spectators saying, 'Well, they'll do a better job with it next year.' The 2015 MAC Awards, presented by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs, and held once again this year at BB King's on West 42nd Street, absolutely fell into the former category. It was a splendid affair (albeit it's usual 3-plus hours) that was expertly directed by MAC President Lennie Watts.

At a ceremony held last night in New York, the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs announced the winners of the 2015 MAC Awards. The show was hosted by Karen Mason, with musical direction by Barry Levitt, and was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts.
