Boulder-based Local Theater Company(Local) announces selections for its eighth annual Local Lab New Play Festival taking place March 15-17 at Dairy ARTS Center, including 'Flame Broiled. or the ugly play,' by Broadway actor and Colorado resident Rodney Hicks, 'Discount Ghost Stories' by Alexander Sage Oyen and Colorado resident Jessica Kahkoska, and 'Orange Crush' by Daniel Goldstein, presented in partnership with Roundabout Theatre in New York City.
On Sunday, October 21, the company of the new Broadway musical HEAD OVER HEELS, featuring the music of The Go-Go's, celebrated 100 performances at the Hudson Theatre. The cast was joined by Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day; American Idiot) at the post-matinee champagne toast next door at Hunt & Fish Club, with a special 'Arcadian' royal cake by Broadway baker, Cute as Cake.

September 29th marked the first show of The Late Comet, a series of late-night shows at Feinstein's/54 Below featuring cast members of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater.
