A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will play the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) November 14, 2015 through January 3, 2016. Based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson and adapted for the stage by Eric Schaeffer by special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will be directed by Emerald City Theatre Artistic Director Ernie Nolan.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has announced that its 2014 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.65 million dollars, marking the largest single contribution in BC/EFA history and bringing the foundation's total contribution to BC/EFA to $10 million since it began ten years ago.

The Stage Door production is being directed by Arthur Whitelaw, who directed the original 'Taffeta' Off-Broadway, and was the original producer. Whitelaw has won and/or been nominated for every industry award including the Tony, Emmy, Oscar, Drama Desk Award, and Obie. 'The Taffetas are special to us because they take us to a simpler, gentler time in our history. People are responding so positively to it, because it is just fun!!' exclaims Whitelaw, with a laugh.
