Long Wharf Theatre yesterday announced the launch of its 2022/2023 season, “Everywhere for Everyone.” Under its new model, audiences will see programming radiating out from the institution's storied home at 222 Sargent Drive and into communities across Greater New Haven.

Circle Jerk, the Pulitzer Prize Finalist piece, will host special, late-night performances in honor of pride month this June at The Connelly Theater and online. These wild and unhinged performances will begin on June 11.

OBIE-winning theater company Hoi Polloi (Three Pianos; All Hands) returns to JACK with a peek inside the meeting of a white anti-racist group. As the members reckon with sacrifices they must make to live up to their principles, other forces begin to disrupt and unsettle their efforts. An uncanny ode to honesty, forgiveness, and accountability, this ensemble tour de force pulls the audience on a descent from the too-real to the sub-real.

Due to positive COVID test results within the company, Ars Nova has canceled all remaining performances of Oratorio for Living Things. The final performance of this three-time Lortel winner took place on May 14.

The Green Room 42 will present a special concert reading of the new musical, Fountain of You, on Monday May 23 at 9:30 PM. Fountain of You features book and lyrics by Tasha Gordon-Solmon and music by Faye Chiao, and stars Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls, Bring it On The Musical) and Maya Days (Rent, Aida).

Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart will be appearing in FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME during its engagement at the Kimmel Cultural Campus in Philadelphia. James will be in the show June 7-11 (he will not be in the show on the 12th). 

The limited engagement of Alison Leiby’s Oh God, A Show About Abortion has been extended through June 30 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

The Hearth has announced their 2022 season, which will feature two new plays commissioned and developed by The Hearth. In July 2022 they will present the World Premiere of Happy Life by Kathy Ng at Walkerspace (46 Walker St, New York, NY 10013).

Playwrights Horizons today announced an additional one-week extension of Sanaz Toossi’s Wish You Were Here, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, to June 5.

The 2023 Yale Drama Series Prize has chosen Jeremy O. Harris, the Yale alum and Tony-nominated author of Slave Play, as the presiding playwright for its landmark 15th anniversary year. As his first order of business, Harris is assembling an international group of readers to help evaluate submissions as part of a larger effort to infuse the process with a more global point-of-view.

Joining the previously announced David Harbour and Bill Pullman are Hanako Footman, Akiya Henry, Sinead Matthews, Charlie Oscar and Stephen Wight. Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, the production opens on 26 June at the Ambassadors Theatre, with previews from 15 June, and runs until 4 September.

CCAE Theatricals and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, will host a private industry reading of Bottle Shock! The Musical on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, 2022.

New York Stage and Film, will return July 9-August 7 for five weeks of in-person programming in Poughkeepsie for their 2022 Summer Season.
