Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the participants in the seventh round of its Rising Leaders of Color (RLC) Program.

Carlos Valdes has joined the cast of Hulu's new musical rom-com series Up Here. Up Here is a new musical comedy series with original music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Tony-winner Thomas Kail is slated to direct with Tony-winner Steven Levenson serving as show runner.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. The Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced that FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME founding member, producer, and Pulitzer Prize, Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony Award® Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights, Disney’s Encanto) will join the national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME as a special guest at the 8 p.m. performance on June 10, 2022.
