Hennie Smit and Arina de Witt are onstage in AS DROME VLERKE KRY at this year's Aardklop National Arts Festival in Potchefstroom. The production forms part of a season of five shows from Lefra Productions at the festival, with the lineup also including FIELA SE KIND, MY MAN SE SKELMPIE SE SKELMPIE SE VROU, ONTBLOOT and MY PA.
Lefra Productions and RSG's popular Oppiwater Arts Festival, which is presented on board the luxurious MSC Sinfonia, has just been nominated for a Fiesta Award as the most popular festival in 2016. The festival is unique, with no similar festival presented on any other cruiseliner worldwide.
RSG and Lefra Productions's fourth Oppiwater Arts Festival take place next year from April 30 to May 5 aboard the luxurious MSC Sinfonia. The OPPIWATER ARTS is a unique festival with more than 20 different productions that each play a few performances in the various theatres and venues on the MSC Sinfonia.
Lefra Productions will host a mini-festival at the Roodepoort Theatre with four top productions on stage from 12 April - 7 May.

The much loved actor and singer, Hennie Smit, well known as Bertie in Egoli and now Deda in MY BOETIE SE SUSSIE SE OU, is making very good progress in the Wilgers Hospital's intensive care unit. He contracted double pneumonia two months ago, after which many complications set in. He was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit where he has spent the last eight weeks fighting for his of his life.
Hennie Smit, the very popular South African actor and singer who is best known for playing the role of Bertie in EGOLI and who was recently playing the role of Deda in the Lefra Productions farce MY BOETIE SE SUSSIE SE OU, was admitted to hospital two weeks ago with double pneumonia, asthma and a fractured rib. Unfortunately, the fractured rib perforated his lung last week, which has resulted in further complications.
Comedians Hannes Brümmer and Melt Sieberhagen are all set to host AFRIKAANSE MUSIEKFEES 13 this year.
