Marcus King has shared a new song, 'Beautiful Stranger'. Timeless vintage soul with shimmering steel and haunting gospel harmonies, the song features Marcus' rasping vocals which take centre-stage on his debut solo record, El Dorado. This release has established him as one of the most soulful voices of his generation and is set to be his most critically acclaimed yet.

The eclectic San Diego vocal performance ensemble SACRA/PROFANA has gained acclaim as a genre-defying ensemble breaking down the barriers between pop, classical, and contemporary music. In that tradition the group presents MUSIC AS SOCIAL CHANGE, a concert that will feature arrangements of socially aware pop music from the 1960s to the present day, as well as choral music that comments on the issues of our times.

ZACH Theatre kicks off 2020 with two show openings, celebrating a legendary rock goddess, and bringing Eric Carle's books of children's classics to life on the stage. A Night with Janis Joplin will return to ZACH where its journey began; this time in the Topfer with Tony-nominated Mary Bridget Davies, who originated the title role on Broadway running January 29-March 8, 2020 at The Topfer at ZACH. Creator, writer and original director Randy Johnson joins Mary Bridget Davies with original choreographer Patti Wilcox and original associate director Tyler Rhodes. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show wiggles the ZACH Moody Foundation Theatre for Families into the 2020 Season when this menagerie of Eric Carle's favorite books is brought to life with puppetry for all ages.

On Friday, February 14, 2020 at 8:00 p.m., The New York Pops is joined by guest artists Mandy Gonzalez, Carrie Manolakos, and Alex Newell for I'm Every Woman: Divas On Stage. The concert salutes the power of the female voice, and pays tribute to Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Adele, and fellow icons who have transformed the world through song.

Based on Stephen King's bestselling novel of the same name, THE OUTSIDER is a new drama series that explores the investigation into the gruesome murder of a local boy and the mysterious force surrounding the case. The new series features Tony winning Broadway favorite Cynthia Erivo.

The 48th season of the popular Highlights In Jazz continues on March 19, 2020, when producer Jack Kleinsinger presents 'Ellington Everlasting.' The concert turns the spotlight on the maestro's timeless compositions and enduring legacy, through the dynamic vision of featured performers like trombonist Art Baron & The Duke's Men, drummer Bernard Purdie, bassist Bill Crow, saxophonists Bill Easley and Mark Hynes, pianist James Weidman and vocalist Ira Hawkins. In keeping with the beloved HIJ tradition, a surprise special guest will be on hand for the concert, to be held at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.

Today the first half of the line-up made up of family and friends was announced which includes: Cyndi Lauper, Livingston Taylor, Indigo Girls, Michael McDonald, Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, Ben Taylor and Sally Taylor, John Forte, Resistance Revival Chorus, Darlene Love, Ken Burns, and Linda Perry.   More artists to be named in the near future. The Annenberg Center presents We Shall Overcome: A Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., Friday, January 17 at 8 PM. Inspired by the words and actions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., We Shall Overcome features repertoire from across African American music traditions that electrified generations of civil rights activists and defenders. Led by talented multi-genre musician Damien Sneed, recipient of the prestigious Sphinx Medal of Excellence, this performance weaves spoken word from Dr. King's speeches with a musical lineage that includes traditional gospel, modern gospel, classical, jazz, Broadway and spirituals to reinvigorate and inspire future generations. From Aretha Franklin to Wynton Marsalis, Duke Ellington to Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone to Donny Hathaway, and traditional spirituals and music from The Wiz, Sneed's unique understanding of each genre allows him to fluidly cover a wide span of musical ground in a single performance.

GRAMMY® Award-winning artists Sammy Hagar and LeAnn Rimes; current GRAMMY Award nominees Luis Fonsi and Ashley McBryde; past GRAMMY Award nominees Gavin DeGraw and Johnny Depp; and Cheap Trick will join the performance lineup at the 2020 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute concert honoring Aerosmith on Jan. 24. The lineup includes previously announced performers Gary Clark Jr., Alice Cooper, Foo Fighters, H.E.R., Jonas Brothers, Emily King, John Legend, John Mayer, and Yola. Greg Phillinganes will be the musical director, with additional guest performers to be announced.
