Even before previews have begun, the producers of the Kander & Ebb musical CHICAGO, winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, have extended the booking period at the Phoenix Theatre in London until 6 October 2018. Following a successful UK and international tour, and after a 5½-year absence from London, the musical will open on Wednesday 11 April 2018, following previews from 26 March.

Joining Ms. Simpson is Chaz Lamar Shepherd (original Broadway production of The Color Purple; Dreamgirls national tour) as 'Billy Flynn.'

Tony Award-winning actress BEBE NEUWIRTH will host the 40th Anniversary and reunion of the original cast of Bob Fosse's DANCIN' on March 26th at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, NYC. The evening, presented by Dancers Over 40, will feature members of the original Broadway cast as well as others that joined the show during the run. Ms. Neuwirth appeared in DANCIN' during the final four months of the Broadway engagement.

Columbus State University 's College of the Arts will present renowned dancer/choreographer/actress Mercedes Ellington with its 2017 "Lifetime Achievement Award in Dance" at CSU's annual BROADWAY BALL on Friday, December 1 in Columbus, GA. Now entering its 28th year, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) announces its newest Resident Artist: Kim Morgan Greene. Best known for her television performances as Channing Carter Colby on The Colby's and Nicole Love on Another World, Greene is an award-winning actor, dancer, singer, choreographer and director.

When CHICAGO last toured through town, I had the pleasure of speaking with Broadway's Dylis Croman, who returns to the national tour of CHICAGO next week, as the fame-obsessed merry murderess, Roxie Hart. With five Broadway shows under her belt, and several national tours, Ms. Croman returns to Texas, having graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
