Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. Presents THE DEAD EYE BOY

The second installment of Dirt Dogs Theatre Co.'s fourth season is the regional premiere of Angus MacLachlan's The Dead Eye Boy. A gripping story that explores how sex, violence, and affection can all be confused for love, The Dead Eye Boy was the recipient of the 2000 Rosenthal New Play Prize, premiering at the Cincinnati Playhouse before making an Off-Broadway run. In the riveting drama, Shirley-Diane sees her teenage son, Soren, as a painful reminder of her past. Her ex-con boyfriend, Billy, sees Soren as a reflection of his own childhood. As Billy tries to friend the troubled boy, the dysfunction of hard-core addiction and manipulation blur the lines of control and love between the three .

Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. (DDTCo.) proudly presents its Season 4 lineup for 2019-2020. The season opens with a very human look at race relations in America with the regional premiere of White Guy on the Bus by Bruce Graham. Following, is another regional premiere, the unrelenting tragedy, The Dead Eye Boy by Angus MacLachlan. Season 4 concludes with the political drama, Farragut North by House of Cards creator, Beau Willimon. All productions will be performed at MATCH in Midtown Houston.

SKYLIGHT by David Hare Opens Burning Coal Theatre Company's 20th Season

Burning Coal Theatre Company will open its 20th season in Raleigh, North Carolina with David Hare's Skylight, a love story about a brashly swaggering, politically conservative middle-aged businessman in the hotels and restaurants trade who stumbles back into the life of a progressive-minded, younger woman with whom he had a tempestuous affair years  before.  The play will run Thursdays through Saturdays, Oct. 6-9, 13-15 and 20-22, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, October 9, 16, and 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. Performances will take place at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.

Announcing ACT - A Contemporary Theatre's New Play Award: Red Earth, Gold Gate, Shadow Sky by Mark Jenkins is the recipient for 2013. ACT has also committed to producing the play in the 2014 Mainstage season. Jenkins' play is a harrowing tale of a Cambodian family who lives through the American bombing of Southeast Asia, survives the horrors of the killing fields and the brutal Khmer Rouge regime, struggles to adapt as immigrants in modern Seattle, and has to fight for a place in America where incarceration and deportation are a constant threat.
