The Drama League presents the 36th annual DirectorFest, the only festival in the United States dedicated to the art of contemporary stage directing. DirectorFest launches January 10 – and concludes on February 4, 2020 at various locations around NYC: The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas), LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (31-10 Thomson Avenue), and Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). Today it was announced that The Cher Show on Broadway will play its final performance on August 18, 2019 following 34 previews and 296 regular performances. The National Tour will launch in Rochester, NY in October 2020.

Stephen DeAngelis continues his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with its next edition of AT THIS PERFORMANCE… to be held on Monday, June 3rd at The Green Room 42, Green Fig, Fourth Floor, Yotel NYC, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), New York, NY 10036 at 7 PM. Hosted by series Producing Artistic Director and Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the popular series allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences.

The Cher Show, the three-time Tony nominated new hit bio musical currently playing on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre, will celebrate the retail release of their Original Cast Recording with an in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes & Noble (150 East 86th Street) at 4pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

On Wednesday, April 3rd Secretary Hillary Clinton attended the evening performance of The Cher Show. Lin-Manuel Miranda attended the show the following evening on Thursday, April 4th. Both went backstage after the show to meet the cast including stars Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, Micaela Diamond and Jarrod Spector.

The original cast album to the Broadway hit The Cher Show will be released digitally on Friday, April 12th on Warner Bros. Records with the physical CD album release on Friday, May 10th and pre-order available today. Fans who pre-order the album will receive "If I Could Turn Back Time" instantly. The bio-musical, which opened on December 3rd at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, is a celebration of the one and only Cher and her amazing six decade career and life story.
