This spring, Jump, the internationally-renowned live-action martial arts comedy created by Yegam, Inc. Productions, comes to New York in a new production featuring new music, new plot twists and a new cast of hilarious martial artists. Presented by Show & Arts USA, LLC., Jump, begans performances Off-Broadway at New World Stages on Wednesday, May 11. Opening night is Thursday, June 23. As a special 80th anniversary event for Westport Country Playhouse, noted actors Kathleen McNenny, Frances Sternhagen and Richard Thomas will star in a Script in Hand reading of A. R. Gurney's delightfully witty game of cat and mouse, "The Golden Age," on Monday, June 20, 7 p.m. Director is John Tillinger.

The Graduate Acting Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts will present a special one-time-only benefit concert staging of playwright and alumnus Tony Kushner's play The Henry Box Brown Play: Political-Historical-Doggerel-Vaudeville.

With a 2011 Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor In A Play for his magnetic turn in the critically-hailed revival of Larry Kramer's THE NORMAL HEART on Broadway and a leading role on Showtime's THE BIG C co-starring real-life close friend Laura Linney, as well as a busy film career that boats memorable turns in THE REF, ME & MY SHADOWS: LIFE WITH JUDY GARLAND, FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, the recent remake of THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123 and TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, John Benjamin Hickey is a very busy man. After a sold-out run last November, Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) is proud to present, back by popular demand, ONLY LOVE WILL DO - A GayStraigt RomCom, written by Walt Stepp (Lightin' Out-A Mark Twain Musical, Why We Shot Jack-The Conspirators' Drama), from April 14th thru May 1st. Lissa Moira once again directs this Freudian Fandango of gay/straight romantic dramedy/sexploration.

Nominations for the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced at a news conference on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 9:30 AM at the New York Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, in Manhattan. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:45 AM. Drama Desk and Tony winners Audra McDonald and Liev Schreiber will announce the nominations in the various categories. In addition, there will be remarks by Drama Desk President Isa Goldberg, Drama Desk Awards Executive Producer Robert R. Blume, Nominating Committee Chairperson Barbara Siegel and Randie Levine-Miller, Drama Desk Director of Special Events, who has produced this event at the Friars Club for the past 15 years.

Today, we are featuring an exclusive conversation with one of the most accomplished and respected stage and television actors of his generation, showing solid proof that a child actor can go on to have a wildly successful career as an adult onstage and onscreen if he has the talent to go with it - the star of the Public Theater's new production of William Shakespeare's TIMON OF ATHENS, Richard Thomas. Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to discuss career past, present and future with highly-acclaimed stage and screen star - having appeared in films as diverse as WOLVERINE, SALT, DEFIANCE, TAKING WOODSTOCK, the SCREAM trilogy, RANSOM and the remake of THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, and in stage roles ranging from Mamet to Miller to Shakespeare - Liev Schreiber, on the eve of the debut of his newest feature film EVERY DAY co-starring Helen Hunt, Carla Gugino, Eddie Izzard and Brian Dennehy, written/directed by Richard Levine. Zach Grenier will reprise his Tony Award-nominated role in '33 Variations' at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre, joining two-time Academy Award-winner Jane Fonda who stars in the compelling new play written and directed by Moisés Kaufman. The West Coast premiere of '33 Variations' will be presented January 30 through March 6, 2011. Opening is set for February 9. Both Grenier and Fonda will perform the roles they played in the 2009 Broadway run of '33 Variations.' The play was nominated for a total of five Tony Awards, including Best Actress for Fonda and Best Featured Actor for Grenier.
