After a critically acclaimed run this spring, A WHITE MAN'S GUIDE TO RIKERS ISLAND returns this summer for an extended run. Based on a true story, it is written by Richard Roy (Richard III with Denzel Washington) and Eric C. Webb, directed by Thomas G. Waites (Awake and Sing! starring Frances McDormand, King Richard III starring Al Pacino), and stars Richard Roy and Connor Chase Stewart.

Craft Recordings is pleased to announce the vinyl reissue ofR.E.M.'s platinum-selling collection, In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003. Available for thefirst time on vinyl in over 15 years, the album includes 18 songs from the Athens, GA alt-rockers, spanning 1988's Green to 2001's Reveal, plus two previously unreleased tracks. The double-LP set—which makes its debut on audiophile-quality, 180-gram vinyl on June 14th—is housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket. In addition to the wide reissue of In Time, a special version—pressed on translucent blue vinyl—will be available exclusively at Barnes & Noble.

"Follies" is Portland's only physical comedy showcase, currently running Season 3 at the Funhouse Lounge. Created and hosted by International Italian performer Stefano Iaboni, whose influences include Andy Kaufman and Monty Python. "Follies" says 'ciao' to traditional stand-up and improv and instead highlights the richly diverse, artistic and hilarious world of physical comedy, variety and sketch comedy.

After fantastic audience and critical response, BAREFOOT, a daring new sexual escapade by Kate T. Billingsley and Thomas G. Waites, will extend through March 2 at the Gene Frankel Theatre when it began performances on January 24. BAREFOOT is produced by Black Rose Productions and directed by Thomas G. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that actor and comedian Jim Carrey and British actress Emilia Clarke will be honored at the 2018 British Academy Britannia Awards. Carrey will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, while Clarke will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

If you've heard of Adrienne Truscott's work, the title of her current show, ADRIENNE TRUSCOTT'S A ONE TRICK PONY (OR ANDY KAUFMAN IS A FEMINIST PERFORMANCE ARTIST AND I'M A COMEDIAN), is self-explanatory: she last made waves with ADRIENNE TRUSCOTT'S ASKING FOR IT, a comedy special in which she stood on stage, naked from the waist down, and told rape jokes for an hour. So why is it, Truscott asks, that a woman who has just told a bunch of jokes is labeled a feminist performance artist, while Andy Kaufman, a man who never told a single joke, was labeled a comedian? Isn't it, Truscott asks, ironic?
