BroadwayWorld brought you along for the ride during the first two days of BroadwayCon! Featuring events such as the reunion of the cast of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, panels with Be More Chill, The Prom, Avenue Q, and Andrew Rannells, and cosplays as far as the eye can see, these two days were not to be missed!

BroadwayCon's second day wrapped up today, with a plethora of panels and events for fans to attend! BroadwayWorld brought you inside a few of the panels, and we've got your roundup of the day here!

SHOWTIME has released the series premiere of its new comedy BLACK MONDAY early across multiple platforms. The series stars and is executive produced by Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Don Cheadle and stars two-time Tony Award nominee and Grammy® winner Andrew Rannells (Girls) and Regina Hall (Girls Trip). Screen Actors Guild® Award winner Paul Scheer (Veep) also stars. BLACK MONDAY was created by David Caspe (Happy Endings) and Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend's Girl), who serve as executive producers and showrunners. Emmy nominees Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Preacher, Superbad, Future Man) are executive producers and directed the pilot. The premiere episode is available for free now on YouTube, Facebook and SHO.com.  The 10-episode series will premiere on Sunday, January 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

To Kill A Mockingbird officially opened last night at the Shubert Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the opening night red carpet below!

Ron Bohmer, who plays Elder Price's father in the national tour of BOOK OF MORMON, talks about this controversial musical which he calls a 'Love Letter to Musical Theatre.' As Bohmer said, 'It really is, in my lifetime, the biggest love letter to this art form. And I love this art form! To be part of something that gives audiences that feeling every night is a deep honor.'

Now in its 18thyear, the Broadway Teachers Workshop has connected thousands of theatre teachers from around the world with Broadway's most prominent artists. Haul out the holly and put up the tree because the annual star-studded holiday event SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert returns to New York City on Sunday, December 2, 2018 for its 7th consecutive year, once again benefiting the programs and services of The Actors Fund.

If theater is my religion, THE BOOK OF MORMON is my most sacred text. Not the actual book of course, rather the wildly irreverent musical written by the creators of SOUTH PARK (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) along with EGOT winner Robert Lopez. It is a nearly perfect musical, and definitely one of most joyous musicals I've ever seen. One of the brilliant things about THE BOOK OF MORMON is that it allows us to laugh at institutionalized religion (and let's face it, there are plenty of ridiculous things to laugh at) while still espousing the value of faith in oneself and one's friends and community, and 'working together to make this our paradise planet!' It truly is a feel-good musical that has the hugest heart, despite its unbelievably foul mouth. Back when it premiered in 2011, THE BOOK OF MORMON was what HAMILTON is today - a smash hit musical that swept the Tonys and was an impossible ticket to get. Fortunately seven years later tickets are a little easier to come by; tickets are still available (including rush and lottery, click here for details). If you're a fan of musical theater (who isn't offended by profanity and poking fun at religion), THE BOOK OF MORMON is definitely a must-see. And since it's still running on Broadway and touring the country, it likely won't be available for regional productions for many years, so this tour may be your only chance to see it for a while. Don't miss it!

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) will honor prolific choreographer and bold visionary Camille A. Brown (1997 YoungArts Winner in Dance & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), and singular interdisciplinary designers Simon and Nikolai Haas of The Haas Brothers, with the 2019 Arison Alumni Award and Arison Award, respectively.

The Trevor Project will honor Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Peabody® Award-winning screenwriter, producer and director Ryan Murphy and the cast of the FX series POSE at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala for their commitment to supporting the nonprofit's mission to provide crisis intervention services and end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. TrevorLIVE Los Angeles will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2 at The Beverly Hilton.

Steven Reineke celebrated his tenth anniversary as Music Director of The New York Pops during the orchestra's current 2018-19 season. Steven is only the second person to hold the position of Music Director of The New York Pops, which was founded by Skitch Henderson in 1983, and is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States and the only professional symphonic orchestra in New York City specializing in popular music. This December, Live From Lincoln Center will welcome some of Broadway's brightest stars-Annaleigh Ashford, Megan Hilty, and Cynthia Erivo-for the second edition of the critically acclaimed Stars in Concert performance series.
