BWW Reviews: Woodlawn Theatre's THE PRODUCERS Produces Laugh After Laugh
by Jeff Davis
- Apr 12, 2013
I'm sad to report that I may have missed several moments of The Producers, currently playing at San Antonio's Woodlawn Theatre. The downside of having to wipe tears of laughter out of your eyes is that you miss a few seconds of action. Of course, that's hardly a complaint about this solid, polished, and professional production. Woodlawn Theatre's current production of The Producers illustrates exactly why the show was such a hit when it opened in 2001 and why it continues to please audiences. Despite the occasional offensiveness and cheekiness, the show is an enjoyable laugh riot that you can't help but love.

BWW Reviews: Actors' Express EQUUS- Challenging, Astounding Theatre
by Matthew Allen
- Mar 27, 2013
'Equus', now playing through April 21st at Actor's Express, is not a show that will appeal to everyone as it treads not so lightly on a number of rather taboo issues. That being said, if your sensibilities are not easily rattled, you will no doubt be astounded by the insight, artistry, and ability of AE's extraordinary cast, under the precision direction of David Crowe.

by Kelsey Denette
- Mar 26, 2013
New Line Theatre closes its 22nd season May 30-June 22, 2013, with the regional premiere of one of the most outrageous shows the company has ever produced. With book and lyrics by Spencer Green and Gary Stockdale, and music by Stockdale, BUKOWSICAL is a wacky, high-energy - and gleefully adult - musical comedy, an ironic and insightful 21st-century reboot of the classic American musical comedy, exploring the intersection between sex, drugs, booze, and art, all through the life story of the great American novelist and poet Charles Bukowski.

by Emily Stubbs
- Mar 21, 2013
On March 5-7, the electrifying cast of American Idiot took the stage at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall. The musical, which was inspired, written, and created by Billie Joe and Green Day, is a satisfying change from the typical Broadway show.
