What would happen if Carol Channing and Patti LuPone were double-booked with their one-woman shows in the cabaret space at Davenport's Piano Bar? For one weekend only, two of their biggest fans will imagine how a night with these two musical theater legends sharing the stage might transpire.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 20th anniversary season with 'Home,' Samm-Art Williams' brilliantly inventive, lyrically expressive play that tells the coming-of-age story of a young black man, Cephus Miles, from rural North Carolina. From beginning to end - and through tragedy and triumph - Cephus never loses his joyful goodwill, his indomitable spirit, and the conviction that one day his quest for fulfillment with be rewarded. 'Home' stars returning Rep Stage actors Felicia Curry and Fatima Quander, as well as Rep newcomer Robert Lee Hardy in the role of Cephus Miles.

Edges opens February 28 and plays through March 10 at the Dougherty Arts Center.

Berkeley Playhouse continues its fifth season with the Tony Award-winning GUYS AND DOLLS. Jon Tracy (Berkeley Playhouse, Aurora Theatre Company, Shotgun Players, San Francisco Playhouse, Magic Theatre) helms this musical from the Golden Age of Broadway, featuring a cast of 22, and choreography by Chris Black (Berkeley Playhouse, Aurora Theatre Company). GUYS AND DOLLS plays March 21 through April 28 (Press opening: March 23) at the Julia Morgan Theatre in Berkeley. The Public's 2013 free Shakespeare in the Park season will begin on Tuesday, May 28 with THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, featuring Shakespeare in the Park alumni Jesse Tyler Ferguson ('Modern Family') as Dromio and Hamish Linklater ('The New Adventures of Old Christine') as Antipholus. Ferguson and Linklater last performed together in The Winter's Tale and The Merchant of Venice in 2010 for The Public's Shakespeare in the Park. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS will run for five weeks through Sunday, June 30.

Tonight The Drama League announced, during the 29th Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring Audra McDonald at the Pierre Hotel, the founding of The Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Studio Lab and The Joseph and Lauren Pizza Welcome Center, both to be components inside the new Drama League Theater Center. The 13th annual writing colony at the 20,000-acre working cattle ranch outside of Sheridan, Wyo. takes place through February 22 and provides a supportive environment for artists to create new work and receive guidance and reactions to it at an early stage. Performances begin today for the MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) New York premiere production of Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, directed by David Cromer (the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes). The production, which marks Colaizzo's New York playwriting debut, plays at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) through March 10, 2013. As previously noted, MCC's New York premiere of Really Really marks a brand new production of the play directed by Cromer.

The Vineyard Theatre presents the New York premiere production of THE NORTH POOL, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Vineyard's Paula Vogel Award-winning playwright Rajiv Joseph (BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO), directed by Giovanna Sardelli (ANIMALS OUT OF PAPER).
