THE FOURTH ESTATE, A Showtime Documentary Series, Receives Distinction of Closing the Prestigious Tribeca Film Festival

SHOWTIME announced today that new original documentary series, THE FOURTH ESTATE, directed and produced by Emmy(R)-winning and Oscar(R)-nominated filmmaker Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?), will have its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, receiving the distinction of being selected as the Festival's closing night film. Following its screening on Saturday, April 28, Tribeca Film Festival will host a panel discussion with some of the subjects of the documentary including The New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet, Washington bureau chief Elisabeth Bumiller, White House correspondent Maggie Haberman, Washington investigative correspondent Mark Mazzetti and Garbus. Following its Tribeca Film Festival world premiere, THE FOURTH ESTATE will premiere on Sunday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

Kathy Griffin Will Appear on 'Real Time with Bill Maher'

According to Deadline, Kathy Griffin will appear on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher next week. Griffin has been absent from the airwaves after last year when she was fired from CNN's New Year's Eve bash for posting a photo of herself holding a fake severed head that looked like Donald Trump.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the cast and creative team for Mary Stuart, Peter Oswald's electrifying new take on the famously bitter rivalry between Mary, Queen of Scots, and her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England. The two fiercely independent women at the center of the showdown are portrayed by acclaimed actresses K.K. Moggie as Mary and Kellie Overbey as Elizabeth. 60 MINUTES made Nielsen's Top 10 list for the sixth week in a row. The CBS newsmagazine finished at #7 with an audience of 10 million viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 10. It was the ninth time in 11 weeks that 60 MINUTES made the list, four times at #5 or better.
