The Fisher Center at Bard will present a bold, gender-reframed, era-transcending vision of Molière’s 1665 tragicomedy Dom Juan, conceived and directed by Ashley Tata, with a new translation from NYU Professor of ​​French Literature  and theater scholar Sylvaine Guyot and Fisher Center Artistic Director Gideon Lester.

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

The 2022 Studio Artist Program, under the leadership of Richard Gammon, will feature performances of The Fall of the House of Usher by Philip Glass on June 29 and July 1, 2022. The opera will be sung in English with English supertitles and performed with the full orchestration.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre announces the in-person return of its annual celebration of new short plays. Boston Theater Marathon XXIV will feature 50 ten-minute plays written by New England playwrights and presented by New England theatre companies. The Muny announced today that Jeanna de Waal, Corbin Bleu, Andréa Burns, Nehal Joshi, and Darlesia Cearcy will star in the high-flying production of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, July 5-13, 2022. A family favorite, Muny-goers will witness Mary flying over the audience. Mary Poppins is directed by John Tartaglia, choreographed by Patrick O’Neill, with music direction by Brad Haak. Mary Poppins is proudly sponsored by Ameren.

Theatre Communications Group has announced the recipients of the second round of the 2021-22 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards.
