A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Alliance Theatre's annual holiday production, returns to the Coca-Cola Stage at Alliance Theatre November 12 – December 24, 2021. 

The New York premiere of Faith Salie’s Approval Junkie, developed in collaboration with and directed by Amanda Watkins, will finally make its New York premiere at Audible Theater’s Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, between MacDougal & 6th Avenue – one block south of W. 3rd Street), after original rehearsals were postponed in March 2020.

A new slate of fall programming has been announced for Audible Theater, including three more shows staged live at the Minetta Lane Theatre and four Audible Originals. Highlights include: And So We Walked, An Evening with Solea Pfeiffer, and Approval Junkie.

The 17th competition winner, DATA is a fast-paced thriller that looks behind the closed doors of Silicon Valley. DATA is written by Matthew Libby and the virtual production is directed by Susan V. Booth.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, in association with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and Stanford University's National Center for New Plays, announce the 14th Annual MFA Playwrights' Workshop. The Kennedy Center will host more than 60 theater-makers from July 27-August 4, 2019 as part of the week-long Workshop featuring new works by graduate students or recent MFA graduates from the University of California, San Diego, Iowa Playwrights' Workshop, Boston University, National Theatre School of Canada, and Brown University. 

Broadway Dreams kicks off Unplugged, the 2019 Summer Intensive Tour in Atlanta, GA, followed by five U.S. cities, Calgary, Canada and Europa Park in Rust, Germany. In each location, Broadway Dreams will present an incredible roster of top Broadway directors, performers, and industry insiders who will offer highly personalized musical theater training through week-long intensive workshops for students of all ages, skill levels, and socio-economic backgrounds. The Alliance Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere production of Approval Junkie, by and starring Faith Salie.  A comedian and Emmy Award-winning journalist best known for her roles on NPR's Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me! and CBS News Sunday Morning, Salie returns home to Georgia to adapt her memoir into a heartfelt (and disturbingly hilarious) one-woman show.  Approval Junkie is directed by Amanda Watkins and premieres on the Hertz Stage April 5 - 28, 2019.  Opening night is Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

The 2016 Summer Tour, GENERAT10N, will visit cities across the U.S. and Canada with a special stop in its home city, June 13 - 18, 2016.

?The Pulitzer Prize winning play DISGRACED by Ayad Akhtar will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street. As of that date, it will have played 149 performances and 27 previews. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, DISGRACED received Obie and Joseph Jefferson Awards.

American Theater Company announces a new partnership with The Araca Group (Broadway producers of Urinetown, Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, The Wedding Singer, Lend Me a Tenor, and A View From the Bridge, among others) in the development of new American plays in Chicago. The two organizations will partner to produce AracaWorks: Chicago, a weekend of readings of world premiere American plays from August 7-9, 2014 in Chicago. One of the three plays will receive a year of development, including a workshop production the following summer at ATC.
