Jack Gindi's new play, Best Friends, will have a staged reading at 2:00pm on Friday, November 16th at Theatre 54 inside Shetler Studios. David Glenn Armstrong directs this four-person contemporary comedy/drama which stars Josh Adam Davis, Sarah Nedwek, Graham Powell, and Leah Wagner.
Kevin Covert and Amanda Watkins had what Executive Director of the School of Theatre at Florida State University, Cameron Jackson, called a "reunion catch-up," where the longtime friends and colleagues spoke to students, faculty and staff about their lives since graduating from the School of Theatre.
The Broadway Dreams Foundation just presented White Christmas, a celebratory holiday cabaret featuring performances by Broadway's brightest stars and talented local BDF performers. Each year hundreds of students receive valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The special evening, which only happens once a year in NYC, got a spontaneous ovation after a non-stop, 100 minute show, which showed off the talents of BDF students and faculty that assembled from across the country to perform and to show the audience what they were about.

Broadway stars including cast members from Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Ben Walker, Kate Roberts, and Erin Felgar), American Idiot (John Gallagher Jr., Theo Stockman, Rebecca Jones and Libby Winters) and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Celia Keenan-Bolger and Sarah Saltzberg) gathered and sang Monday night at Colt Coeur's 2nd Annual Karaoke Classic Benefit in Brooklyn. Rightor Doyle, Mamie Gummer and Celia Keenan-Bolger chaired the event which raised funds for Play Hotel (Colt Coeur's ongoing reading series, and their principal arena for developing new work) as well as their next production.

American Theater Company (ATC) announced today an addition to the 2011-12 Season: the World Premiere of Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar, featuring ensemble member Usman Ally. Disgraced is produced by special arrangement with The Araca Group (Broadway's Urinetown, A View From The Bridge and co-producers of Wicked).

Last night, February 14, Naked Angels celebrated its 25th anniversary as one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York with a spectacular Gala, including cocktails, an elegant dinner and skits written and performed by Naked Angels company members.
