Interview: Heidi Armbruster of MRS. CHRISTIE at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley Creates a Delightful Contemporary Mystery from the Disappearance of the Famed Author in 1926

BroadwayWorld chats with playwright Heidi Armbruster about 'Mrs. Christie' her madcap mystery making its West Coast premiere at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley October 4 to 29. Her play is an imaginative and speculative romp that connects the famed mystery writer's 11-day disappearance in 1926 with the story of a present-day woman struggling to find herself.

Performance Schedule Announced for 2022 FRIGID Festival

FRIGID New York will present the 16th Annual FRIGID Festival at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) and UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A), February 16-March 6, 2022. 

Jack Scott, Christopher Joel Onken & More Star in New Web Series THIS IS B.S.

'This Is B.S.' is a new mockumentary-style web series inspired by the non-union summer stock experience. Creators Ella Smith and Lindsey Bristol met on a summer contract at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in New Hampshire and started to write the show in their dressing room when they weren't performing onstage.

FRIGID New York To Present 2022 FRIGID Festival This February

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Chasing Summer, a new concert from the award-winning writing team of Ben Chavez & Yianni Papadimos. F. Michael Haynie (Charlie & The Chocolate Factory), Julia Knitel (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Ryann Redmond (Bring It On: The Musical) are set to headline the concert.

In an opium den at the turn of the 20th century, Willow sacrifices her life to pay off her father's debt by working in an occult underground society called 'The Cave.' In this musical exploration of fairy tales, myths, and spiritualism, Willow fights to find light not only in the grim and strange shadow-world around her, but also within herself.

Caissie Levy, Derek Klena, Eden Espinosa, Michael McElroy & More Set for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Benefit Cabaret

On April 12th, 2015, Tony Nominee Michael McElroy (Rent, Big River), Broadway's Caissie Levy (Ghost, Les Miserables), Derek Klena (Dogfight, Wicked), and Eden Espinosa (RENT, Wicked) will perform in Raise Your Voice: A Cabaret For A Cure, a benefit concert to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Conceived and directed by Rob Morean, a Sophomore at Tisch School of the Arts in the Department of Drama's New Studio on Broadway, and inspired by his recent battle and win against Hodgkin's Lymphoma, all proceeds from the cabaret will be donated directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
