Good Theater presents the Maine premiere of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash hit off-Broadway comedy event, Love Loss and What I Wore, directed by Steve Underwood, featuring a rotating cast of Portland's favorite actresses. The Good Theater launches its sixteenth season with a beautifully produced, bittersweet, wise, and winsome play by Laura Eason, Sex with Strangers. Despite its suggestive title, the two-character drama is not a steamy expos of passion, but rather a thoughtful exploration of the complicated world of modern relationships, the conflicting demands of attraction and affection with career and creative identity.

The tiny Footlights Theatre in Falmouth, ME, has a hit on its hands with the endearing new comedy, Leonora Rabinowitz, I Love You, by local writers Hal J. Cohen and Amanda Painter, a sweet, funny, and often moving play about a widow and her daughter's exploration of their troubled sexual experiences, the journey this therapy takes them on, and the heartwarming outcomes of their respective searches.

Acorn Productions, a non-profit art presented located in the Dana Warp Mill, has finalized plans for the 2010 Maine Playwrights Festival (MPF), the ninth annual spotlight on brand new plays by local writers, which will take place from April 15 to May 2 at the St. Lawrence Arts Center on Munjoy Hill in Portland.
