Virginia Stage Company is thrilled to partner with Friends of the Norfolk Public Library and offer a Little Free Library to the Hampton Roads community. Their newly repurposed newspaper stand, donated by the Virginian-Pilot, is filled with plays and dramatic literature for all to enjoy. Passersby are encouraged to grab a play and return for another!

Milwaukee Repertory Theater kicks off the 65th Anniversary Season with the four-time Tony Award- winning musical In the Heights with the music and lyrics by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and book by Quiara Alegria Hudes. Opening Night for Virginia Stage Company's Season 40 opening production Always…Patsy Cline will take place on Wednesday, September 19 at 7:30pm, with a preview performance on Tuesday, September 18. Written by Ted Swindley and directed by Amy Jones, who also directed the Season 39 hit musical Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash, this production returns to Virginia Stage Company nearly 20 years later.

Due to the impact of the incoming storm and the recommendations of the City of Norfolk, the following performances of Always...Patsy Cline will be rescheduled.

Casting is now complete for the foot-stompin' musical Honky Tonk Angels. This performance, playing from September 19 - September 30, will be directed by DAVID HEMSLEY CALDWELL, returning to the Lyceum for his 20th production, and musically directed by SAM CLEIN. The production features SHARON MALANE as Darlene, ERIN MCCRACKEN as Angela, and SHELBY RINGDAHL as Sue Ellen.

North Coast Repertory Theatre launches Season 37 with an intriguing array of riotous comedy, a powerful family drama, a suspense-filled Sherlock Holmes mystery, an eye-opening personal conversation between a U.S. and Soviet arms negotiators, and a colorful musical from the creators of the legendary Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2017-2018 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, August 27, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by Synchronicity Theatre, at 7:30pm, One Peachtree Pointe, 1545 Peachtree St. NE #102, Atlanta.

Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie) and Carter Calvert portray Louise Seger and Patsy Cline, respectively, in the Ted Swindley comedic musical entitled ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE, which is based on a true story that has humor that can be appreciated both by major Patsy Cline fans and people who never heard of her. I highly recommend this comedy.

Alison Angrim, known as Nellie Oleson of Little House on the Prairie will now star as Louise Seger in ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE, a musical based on the true story of Patsy Cline and her fan Louise Seger who would become her friend. The show is scheduled to open on August 17th at the Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, CT.

Project Careaoke, a new all-volunteer organization that exists to support a variety of grassroots, underfunded Colorado nonprofits by sponsoring karaoke-themed events on their behalf, has chosen Denver Actors Fund as its first beneficiary. On September 9, Project Careaoke will launch with a fun-filled evening at The Venue that is expected to result in the single biggest infusion of funds to the Denver Actors Fund in its five-year history.
