Prospect Theater Company has announced the cast of By The Numbers, a part of the company's new IGNITE Series at The Times Center, featuring today's new voices shaping the future of musical theater. This one-night-only concert event will be Saturday, June 27th at 8pm. The evening features the world premiere performance of 12 'micro-musicals' created in Prospect's 2015 Musical Theater Lab. Each of these original, hot-off-the-presses musical theater shorts runs under seven minutes, and has been inspired by a number -- one through twelve -- creating a song cycle collectively written over the lab's month-long time span by participating composers & lyricists.

The Award-winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), will be presenting Merrily We Roll Along, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, based on the original play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The musical will be choreographed by Misha Shields, musical directed by Ming Aldrich-Gan and directed by APAC's Artistic Director Dev Bondarin. The musical begins on Thursday, April 30, 2015 and continues through Saturday, May 23, 2015. On Monday, November 24 at 8pm, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) hosted a developmental reading of MILES & ME, a new musical with Book and Lyrics by Kendell Pinkney, and Music by Danny Abosch (Fancy Nancy, Placebo).
