KATY PERRY CANDY DARLING MARY MAGDELANE is a play with songs about how a musician meets Katy Perry, and how it impacts their life. It is also a comedy about a band trying to record a perfect pop song. It is a live concert.
LET.HER.RIP. is the show to see this summer! It will be one we will refer back to again and again. Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, Mary Jane Kelly, and the Matchstick Women would be proud.

Brave Little Company received a Houston Arts Alliance grant to support a cast recording and public performances of the original musical GRANDPA'S GARDEN, returning for two shows in November.
Experience the magic and adventure of Peter Pan in Rec Room Arts' new adaptation of J.M. Barrie's classic tale. Directed by Matt Hune, this enchanting production takes place in a cramped family attic and explores the themes of growing up, grief, and make-believe.
Tamarie is a whirling dervish, a force of nature, and a comedic genius of a performer. She rises to the challenge of playing herself admirably, and it's the kind of role she was born to play. I doubt any other actor or actress in Houston could portray her quite as convincingly.
Tamarie and her gang of merry misfits are returning to the stage—an actual stage—for a hilarious, irreverent, all-new musical extravaganza featuring an original score played by a live band and performances from some of Houston's funniest, wildest, quirkiest, sometimes raunchiest actors.
Last spring, Catastrophic dispatched teams to the backyards and driveways of audience members to perform entirely original work in a masked, socially distanced format for no more than 10 audience members at a time.

Originally conceived by playwright Young Jean Lee, it was performed as spoken word broken up by punk rock songs about pain and death. Somehow performer Alli Villines has turned it into a ukulele folk festival! But I ask dear reader, what could be more punk rock than a collection of named ukuleles played without an ounce of irony whatsoever?
