London Classic Theatre Announce Cast For UK Tour of ABIGAIL'S PARTY

London Classic Theatre has announced the full cast for their UK tour of Mike Leigh's classic comedy, Abigail's Party. Michael Cabot, the founder and artistic director of London Classic Theatre, directs Rebecca Birch (Beverly), Jo Castleton (Susan), Alice De-Warrenne (Angela), George Readshaw (Tony) and Tom Richardson (Laurence).

In the seventeen years between his first two theatrical features (1971’s BLEAK MOMENTS and 1988’s HIGH HOPES), Mike Leigh, the great humanist of British cinema, sharpened his distinctive voice and famously improvisatory process at the BBC, where he directed a string of striking, bittersweet slice-of-life dramas built on sharply etched characters.

Tour Announced For The Premiere of WODEHOUSE IN WONDERLAND

Cahoots Theatre Company Ltd in association with Jamie Clark Theatre presents the UK premiere of William Humble's play Wodehouse in Wonderland, starring Robert Daws and directed by Robin Herford, on a UK Tour which opens at Malvern Theatres on 26 January 2023.  

Planned Leicester Statue of Joe Orton Axed

A statue to commemorate murdered playwright Joe Orton has been scrapped. The Joe Orton Statue Appeal reached its target in 2019, having raised over £115,000 for the project. 

Nigel Osner's STILL TICKING Announced At The Camden Fringe

In January 2021 Nigel Osner nearly died when a routine operation went seriously wrong, leading to open heart surgery and a damaged lung. After four days in an induced coma he had to learn to walk again, Later in 2021 he managed to perform but needed further surgery before really improving. In January 2022 he was delighted he was able to create an eclectic new show. No mystery why it is called 'Still ticking!' The Camden Fringe will be its London debut.

New photographs and a trailer have been released from the rehearsal room of the UK touring production of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice by Jim Cartwright.  The new production opens on 23 March at MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton and tours until 16 July.

The World Premiere of Katie Redford's TAPPED Comes to Theatre503

Bethany Cooper Productions today announces its inaugural production is the world première of Katie Redford's debut play Tapped, in a co-production with Theatre503. Directed by Piers Black, the production opens at Theatre503 on 12 April, with previews from 5 April, and runs until 23 April 2022.

Full Casting Announced For UK Tour of THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE

Full casting has been announced for the brand-new touring production of Jim Cartwright’s The Rise And Fall of Little Voice, produced by Katy Lipson and Glass Half Full Productions, directed by Bronagh Lagan (Cruise, West End; Little Women The Musical, Park Theatre/ Hope Mill) and starring international YouTube sensation Christina Bianco in the title role.

Matt Di Angelo Joins the Cast of ABIGAIL'S PARTY at the Park Theatre

Matt Di Angelo has been announced as playing Tony in Abigail's Party at Park Theatre this November, joining the previously announced cast which includes Kellie Shirley as Beverly. EastEnders fans will remember Matt and Kellie as brother and sister Dean and Carly Wicks, and Matt is also known for Strictly Come Dancing series five, where he came runner-up to Alesha Dixon.

Toby Jones Joins the Cast Of DR SCHNITZLER'S CASEBOOK

Bafta & Olivier winner Toby Jones has been announced to lead the cast for Dr Schnitzler's Casebook, a specially commissioned stage production to launch Jewish Book Week's 70th anniversary celebrations.
