Manca poco meno di un mese all'evento teatrale piu atteso da tutta la comunita teatrale di tutto il mondo: il 9 giugno infatti, al Radio City Music Hall di New York, si svolgera la 73esima edizione dei Tony Awards. Per la seconda volta, James Corden sara il presentatore di questa serata, dopo aver ricevuto un Emmy Award per la sua performance nel 2016. Il 30 aprile, Bebe Neuwirth e Brandon Victor Dixon hanno annunciato i nomi delle opere teatrali (play e musical) in diretta streaming.

Producer Eva Price announced today that the reimagined revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! will launch its North American tour at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the Fall of 2020. The 2020 tour will mark the first time a First Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in 40 years.

Monday night at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge, the fourth annual Broadway Bee competition scored impressive success. Broadway stars, cast mates, and supporters raised $41,898 for Broadway Bound Kids' arts education programs. Paige Davis, representing team Chicago, took home the grand prize trophy.
Tonight, Broadway stars will compete to be the last one standing and win the Broadway Bee! The event is a comedic spelling bee between Broadway shows, hosted by the creators of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This unique evening supports the free and tuition-assisted arts education programs of Broadway Bound Kids, whose mission is to inspire and empower young lives through the arts.
The Brooklyn Diner Times Square (155 West 43rd Street) honored Tony nominee Mary Testa, Aunt Eller in the hit Tony nominated revival of Oklahoma! by renaming their signature chili, 'Aunt Eller's Chili.'
Oklahoma native Kristin Chenowith took to the plains to see the hit Tony Award nominated "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!" at Circle in the Square. The hit reimagined revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! has announced an extension due to popular demand at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway). Oklahoma!, which opened April 7th as a limited engagement, will now have tickets available through January 19th, 2020.
