Broadway LeAps Onstage, a concert to benefit LeAp (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program) OnStage, will be held Thursday, November 13th at 8pm at the Davenport Theatre. The event, raising funds and awareness of theatre arts education in underprivileged schools in New York, will feature composers and performers such as Scott Alan ('Anything Worth Holding on To'), Drew Gasparini (Crazy, Just Like Me), Anna Bergman (Lincoln Center's American Songbook), and Jessica Vosk (The Bridges of Madison County).

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presented 'The Songs of Miller and Tysen' last night, September 15th, 2014. Described as equal parts James Taylor and Stephen Sondheim, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen's songs have been performed everywhere from East Village folk clubs, to Off-Broadway theaters, to Sesame Street. The concert featureed some of Broadway's best performers singing never-before-heard material from Tuck Everlasting, which premieres at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta this winter. The concert also included favorite tunes from The Burnt Part Boys, and The Mysteries of Harris Burdick.

Award-winning musical theater writer Alexander Sage Oyen brings two completely different sets of his original songs, stripped down to their barest bones, to Don't Tell Mama for what promise to be his most personal concerts to date. Audiences can expect to hear Oyen and a small group of special guests perform his best-loved songs as well as world premieres. Don't Tell Mama's associate director of programming, Max Friedman, will direct both evenings.

Oyen Sings Oyen: An Intimate Evening With Alexander Sage Oyen is set for Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues on Monday, August 25th and Thursday, August 28th at 7:30pm. Directed by Max Friedman. On August 25th only, Ariana DeBose (Pippin, Motown) and Caissie Levy (Les Miserables, Ghost) will join Oyen on stage. Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will host their second monthly Factory Salon-an informal new works open mic night-on Thursday, July 17th, from 8pm to Midnight. Musical Theatre Writers are invited to showcase new songs, and singers are invited to perform songs by new writers. Joe Iconis (The Black Suits, Bloodsong of Love, NBC's Smash) is headlining the event, which will also feature sets by guest composers Lizzie Hagstedt, Alexander Sage Oyen, and Zack Zadek. THE NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL has announced the performers for their special opening night launch event "MEETING OUR HEROES: A Tribute to the Composers Who Inspire Us" at The Laurie Beechman Theater at The West Bank Cafe (407 West 42nd Street) on Monday, July 7 at 7:00 PM. Jeremiah Ginn (Murder for Two), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On: The Musical), Charlotte Maltby (Les Miserables at the Muny) and Bryce Ryness (Fly By Night, First Date, Hair), will help four emerging songwriters celebrate four of musical theater's most celebrated composers. An intimate, history-making night of songs and stories, this one-night-only concert opens NYMF with music from established and new writers alike and honors the individuals who have made an indelible mark on the musical theater community.
