BroadwayWorld has just gotten word that Friends in Theater Company and State of Play Productions' THE SECRET GARDEN, a Broadway benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, has sold out both of its performances later this month. Donations are still being accepted via Friends in Theater's website.

What happens when you mix equal parts Murder, She Wrote with Mad Libs? You get Billy Mitchell's rib-tickling theatrical confection VILLAIN: DeBLANKS. Currently enjoying a residency at The Triad, audiences can catch the madcap hilarity on the first Sunday of each month through April 3, 2016.

Friends in Theater Company and State of Play Productions announces additional casting for  The Secret Garden, a two-night only production to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York and Western New York. Performances will take place on Monday, January 11, 2016 AND Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street New York, NY 10014).

Following the announcement of Friends in Theater Company and State of Play Productions, a second show of "The Secret Garden" has been added due to high ticket demand.

Requiem has music and lyrics by Robbie Torres and a book by Alex Rubin. The new musical follows Michael who returns home for the first time in years to face the ghosts of his past, uncovering family secrets and unfinished business.  The presentation features Seth Rettberg (Avenue Q), Sean Doherty (The Lightning Thief), Sam Heldt, Jessica Hendy, and Ariella Serur

Directed and choreographed by Curtis Holbrook, The Secret Garden will feature original cast members and Broadway stars on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street New York, NY 10014).

4@15: Four New Fifteen-Minute Musicals, performed in conjunction with NYU Steinhardt, will commence performances this weekend, January 24 and 25, for five performances only at The Pless Hall Black Box Theatre, featuring new works from writers Lizzie Hagstedt & Alex Rubin, Daphny Maman & Sujin Kim, Benjamin Velez & Kathryn Hathaway, and Caleb Hoyer & Kevin Michael Murphy. Ben Baker serves as Music Director; Brian Blythe directs.

Theaterspeak will present WRITE OUT FRONT, an installation of over 125 award-winning and up-and-coming playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, today, August 1st - 31st. In each two-hour time slot for WRITE OUT FRONT, a different playwright will write a new play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is projected onto a 42' monitor facing the passersby on the street, making their normally private creative process public.
