INTIMATE APPAREL appeared this week at LCT’s Mitzi Newhouse Theater, directed adroitly by Bartlett Sher, with a thoughtful libretto by Lynn Nottage based on her award-winning play and a ragtime-inflected score by composer Ricky Ian Gordon.

Lincoln Center Theater’s INTIMATE APPAREL, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon, libretto by Lynn Nottage, based on her acclaimed play, and directed by Bartlett Sher, officially opened on Monday, January 31 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater after it shuddered during previews when the theaters shutdown in 2020.

Lincoln Center Theater's INTIMATE APPAREL, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon and libretto by Lynn Nottage, based off of her play of the same name, and direction by Bartlett Sher began previews on January 13 ahead of a Monday, January 31 opening at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Premiering on Sunday, November 14th at 4pm is Music as the Message: FALL IN ❤️ WITH LOVE!, the season opener of a new, imaginative hybrid performance including both virtual and in-person experiences created and hosted by Emmy Award-winning soprano Adrienne Danrich, and presented by The American Opera Project and Opera on Tap, in partnership with Broadway Presbyterian Church.

Music as the Message: Sing Together, Children!, the fourth live, interactive concert created and hosted by Emmy Award-winning soprano Adrienne Danrich, will premiere Sunday, June 13th at 4pm EDT, presented by The American Opera Project in association with Opera on Tap.

The New York Opera Fest will celebrate its sixth season with both virtual and in-person performances by 20+ local, New York City-based opera companies. Presented by the New York Opera Alliance, with support from OPERA America, this annual festival runs for two months May-June 2021 starting with a special kick-off event April 29th.

On Sunday, April 25th at 4pm EDT, The American Opera Project will offer the third episode of Music as the Message, entitled OUR STORIES ~ OUR VOICES, an afternoon of inspirational songs and poems that encourage everyone to breathe life into our entire creative selves.

Piano Bar Live! (PBL!) streams this Tuesday, March 23 at 7:15 pm ET, celebrating St. Louis piano bar and cabaret, co-hosted by Scott Barbarino and Katie Dunne McGrath.

Last night a COVID-compliant, open-air rooftop cabaret concert in midtown on the anniversary of the U.S. Constitution, signed on September 17, 1787, featured the following singers, spanning Broadway, Blues, Reggae, Gospel, Soul, Folk and Rock genres.
