The national tour of Frozen kicks off today, and it was just announced that it will be featuring a new song!

From the producers of The Lion King and Aladdin, Frozen, the Tony-nominated Best Musical, will launch a North American tour this fall, commencing in Schenectady, NY prior to an official opening at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Heralded by The New Yorker as 'thrilling' and 'genuinely moving,' Frozen has emerged as the biggest hit musical of the last two Broadway seasons, breaking four house records at its New York home, the legendary St. James Theatre. Today marks the first day of rehearsal for Disney's Frozen North American tour, and Disney Theatrical Productions has announced the full company of the production! 

Currently docked at the Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts in Long Beach through July 28 is Musical Theater West's wonderfully vibrant new regional production of THE LITTLE MERMAID, Disney's Broadway stage adaptation of their hit 1989 animated classic, which itself was adapted from the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. The resulting show achieves a cheerful, pleasant, and often charming hybrid that honors the original Disney-esque qualities of the film, but also shows what one may call a 'director's cut'---wherein the new 'extras' expand the musical even further in size, elements, and thematic mood. MTW's production is a visual treat.

Take a magical journey under the sea when Musical Theater West (MTW) brings Disney's The Little Mermaid to the Carpenter Performing Arts Center July 12-28.   

La Mirada Theatre For The Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment present the fifth and final show of its season, Laurie Veldheer as 'Belle' and Todd Adamson as 'The Beast' starring in Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, book by Linda Woolverton, musical direction by Darryl Archibald, choreography by Robbie Roby and direction by Michael Heitzman. Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will preview on Friday, May 31, 2019 (with a press opening on Saturday, June 1 at 8 pm) and run through Sunday, June 23, 2019 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

On Saturday, April 20th, the audience members at Thalia Mara Hall were treated to an inside look at an iconic moment in rock and roll history. 4 legends of rock and roll and rockabilly all wound up at Sun Records, and what followed was a jam session for the ages.

Get a first look at 3D Theatricals' 42ND STREET's opening night. The bygone era of theatre will feel hauntingly real and magical. This new production will combine the Ziegfeld Follies golden age of MGM musicals, Busby Berkeley dance numbers and the spice of Chicago to entrance and amaze audiences of all ages.

La Mirada Theatre presents CABARET, which opened January 19th and runs through February 11th. The musical, with book by Joe Masteroff, Lyrics by Fred Ebb and Music by John Kander, is set in a Club (the Kit Kat Klub, to be specific) in 1930s Germany, threatened by the rising Nazi party. CABARET follows singer Sally Bowles, her love interest Cliff, and an mysterious figure named the Emcee.

On June 24, musical theater revue show BROADWAY AT THE W triumphantly returns to The Loft stage at W Hollywood. The 2015 debut BROADWAY AT THE W show was a sold-out success with a line of ticket holders stretching down Hollywood Blvd.
