If the success of a comedy may be judged by the laughter, then based on the laughter at the Sherman Playhouse, 'Laughter on the 23rd Floor' is a great success!

It never gets old. A farce about someone pursuing a great achievement, only to have that achievement at risk due to a misunderstanding, before introducing a doppelganger that just heightens the absurdity (and hilarity) until somebody figures out what's going on and wraps everything up in a neat little bowl? It'll get me in a seat every time.

Everyone knows the beloved story of Camelot – the rise and fall of the legendary and idealistic King Arthur and the heartbreaking betrayals by his wife, his best knight, and his illegitimate son. The musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe never gets tired and seeing it again at the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts is more than just a pleasant theater experience.

TheatreWorks New Milford opened Jeffrey Hatcher's compelling drama, Scotland Road, on September 29. 

Under the watchful eye of Director Jocelyn Beard, the cast of TheatreWorks New Milford’s production of Scotland Road took the audience on a voyage from 1993 to explore the sinking of the Titanic, way back in 1912. The show's authenticity contributed to the immersion of the entire production, creating an unforgettable and thought-provoking night.

TheatreWorks New Milford will open the coming-of-age Stephen Schwartz musical PIPPIN on Friday July 14th.  PIPPIN is directed by Francis A Daley with musical director Joy Giuseffi of Patterson, N.Y. and choreographers are Sandra Hernandez of New Milford and Adam Battelstein of Kent, CT.

With the arc of an arm, the point of a toe or the twist of a torso, America's Got Talent finalists CATAPULT Entertainment stretch their bodies and audiences' imaginations in Magic Shadows. Animated by the dancers' shadows, this choreographic work uses a kaleidoscope of colorful storytelling to create beautiful, cinematic scenes. On Thursday July 25th, 2019 at 8 p.m., TheatreWorks New Milford's Page 2 Stage series presents a special free staged reading of 'The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later', featuring many members of TheatreWorks' 2003 production of it's predecessor 'The Laramie Project' reprising their roles and is directed by the production's original director, Jane Farnol. 

TheatreWorks New Milford, a multi-award-willing 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theater in New Milford, CT,  has announced the twenty one plays which will compete for prizes at their First Annual 10 Minute Play Festival, entitled 'Tales from the Brookside.'
