The U.K. Prime Minister's Office had a negative reaction to the previously announced 'Black Out' nights at the upcoming West End production of Slave Play.

Slave Play, the provocative work from playwright Jeremy O. Harris, is headed to London's West End in a production led by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and Olivia Washington with Fisayo Akinade and Aaron Heffernan.

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full cast has been announced for Brian Friel's Translations including Colin Morgan and Ciaran Hinds, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Eric Kofi Abrefa and Thalissa Teixeira join Vanessa Kirby in the cast of Julie, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Sam Mendes directs The Lehman Trilogy, a co-production with Neal Street Productions, cast includes Adam Godley, Ben Miles and Simon Russell Beale. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

'The course of true love never did run smooth.' A famous line from one of Shakespeare's most well known and well loved plays - and when Joe Hill-Gibbins is at the helm, you can be certain that the production won't be straightforward either.

He's currently playing Bottom in Joe Hill-Gibbins's dark production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which begins previews at the Young Vic on 11 February.

The cast of Bears in Space watched the Sunday, Oct 2 evening performance of Avenue Q. Bears in Space finished their limited run at 59E59 Sunday afternoon. The show stared Jack Gleeson of Game on Thrones fame, Aaron Heffernan, Eoghan Quinn and Dan Colley, fellow classmates at Trinity College in Dublin.
