NYU Skirball and The Invisible Dog Present the U.S. Premiere of AUTOPHAGIES

NYU Skirball will present the U.S. premiere of Eva Doumbia's Autophagies (Self-Eaters), a mix of theater and flavors served with a pinch of music and a taste of international politics. The play, co-produced with The Invisible Dog and performed at The Invisible Dog Art Center in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, features a renowned Paris-based chef who will prepare a meal to be shared by the audience.

Opera Star Pretty Yende and More Will Perform With The PSO in 2023

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) offers an exciting start to the new year with South African opera sensation Pretty Yende. The widely acclaimed soprano, whose introduction to opera at 16 was through a TV commercial, is coming to Princeton to perform arias from Gioachino Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) and Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata as well as Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915.

The Cincinnati May Festival has announced complete details for  its 150th anniversary in 2023, including programs and featured soloists for performances in April and  May 2023 and local artist and ensemble participants for its 25 for 25: A New Time for Choral Music commissioning project.

On this storm-threatened evening, Symphony CEO Martha Gilmer was clad in a yellow rain-slicker worthy of a bout with a North Atlantic gale as she told a surprisingly full outdoor-amphitheater audience, 'Now I know how much you love your San Diego Symphony!' She went on to explain a late change in conductors. Principal Guest Conductor Edo de Waart, at the age of 81, was beginning to feel the effects of travel, and they'd agreed he would conduct the concert's second half, John Lidfors the first. After that announcement, she introduced a video of the always entertaining and informative Nuvi Mehta who gave a brief description of the flood of marvelous melodies to follow.
