BORN YESTERDAY Closes The Rep's 52nd Season With Classic, Screwball Comedy

With its lively patter, sharp satire and empowered female lead, Born Yesterday is a classic comedy that continues to surprise and entertain. Since its Broadway debut in 1946, Garson Kanin's sendup of political gamesmanship has seen multiple prominent film and stage adaptations, including a 1995 production at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.

Shakespeare & Company presented the first full American production of Red Velvet, written by Lolita Chakrabarti, directed by Daniela Varon, and starring OBIE Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson last night and Broadwayworld's Stephen Sorokoff was there. Casting, Dates Set for Shakespeare & Company's 2015 Season; Launches May 22

Shakespeare & Company has finalized casting for its 38th performance season, and released a complete schedule of Opening Night dates. The announcement was made this week by Interim Artistic Directors Ariel Bock and Jonathan Croy, along with a positive report from Interim Managing Director Stephen D. Ball on the Company's box office successes to date. Shakespeare & Company's season opens on May 22 with The How and The Why, by Sarah Treem.

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE presents THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE by Bertolt Brecht, translated from the German by James and Tania Stern with W.H. Auden, directed by Liz Diamond, tonight, March 20-April 11 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 26.
