In response to popular demand and critical acclaim, Ars Nova 'one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies' (New York Times), piece by piece productions and Z Space extends the world premiere of The Lucky Ones until April 28. This 5-time Lucille Lortel award nominated new musical by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days) was commissioned and developed by Ars Nova.

The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) is proud to introduce the lineup for its 2018-2019 Eichelberger Loft Series - a five-show collection of works that examines specific moments in history-real and imaginary, corrects ancient history and revisits a part of the company's own history. The season, featuring one fierce musical and four engaging plays, begins September 6, 2018. In addition to the fully-produced works on the Loft Series, HRTC is launching a new Monday Night Playreading Series with the table readings of three diverse, crowd-pleasing scripts.

Williams Street Repertory, McHenry County's only professional theater company, is excited to announce casting for its upcoming production of "Sylvia." This unlikely love triangle between a man, his wife… and his dog opens on May 4, 2018 at Raue Center For The Arts and runs select dates through May 20, 2018.

There is much to enjoy in Coyote Stageworks' production of THE COCKTAIL HOUR, by A.R. Gurney: the script is funny, the directing is top-notch, and there is a great deal of excellent acting. Unfortunately, one actor was sick at the performance I attended, resulting in problems for the show that night.

Tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) New York City premiere production of Paradise Blue, by Obie Award-winning playwright Dominique Morisseau (Skeleton Crew, Pipeline) and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (The Piano Lesson, Jitney). Paradise Blue is the first play of Morisseau's Signature Residency, which will include three productions over the course of five years.

The Flea Theater continues its partnership with Brown University's Writing for Performance program for the second annual playwriting Project Residency, taking place from March 31 - April 3, 2018.

Claire has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. This morning, like all mornings, she wakes up a blank slate. Her chipper husband comes in with a cup of coffee, explains her condition, hands her a book filled with all sorts of essential information, and he disappears into the shower. A limping, lisping, half-blind, half-deaf man in a ski mask pops out from under her bed and claims to be her brother, there to save her.

Opening Night is Wednesday March 14th for A.R. Gurney's play Later Life starring Liam Craig, Barbara Garrick, Laurence Lau, and Jodie Markell, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein. 

Previews begin this Friday, March 16 for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) world premiere production of THIS FLAT EARTH, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone, the current Amy and the Orphans).  Directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Familiar, Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at Playwrights; Indecent), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.  

The 2018 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has been awarded to U.K. playwright Alice Birch for her play "Anatomy of a Suicide". Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Prize is awarded annually to recognize women from around the world who have written works of outstanding quality for the English-speaking theatre. The Winner will receive $25,000 and a signed and numbered print by renowned artist Willem de Kooning.

Producers Darlene Kaplan, Laura Janik Cronin and Scott Newsome, in association with Alec Seymour, present the Off-Broadway premiere of The Stone Witch, a play by Shem Bitterman (A Death in Colombia, Influence).  Performances begin Monday, March 12, 2018 for an open-ended engagement atThe Westside Theatre - Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).  Opening Night is Sunday evening, March 25, 2018 at 6:30PM.

The Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) Annual Gala will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (located at 480 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues). The event will celebrate the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee and honor the passionate and visionary leadership of former President of the Signature Board of Trustees, Michael Rauch. The Gala is taking place on what would have been Edward Albee's 90th Birthday.

Verzet Amsterdam [Resistance Amsterdam] dramatizes the true story of artists in World War II occupied Amsterdam who band together to resist fascism and protect Jews from deportation and death. Tacoma Little Theatre presents the delightful, Dear Liar, directed by Martin Larson. This production will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 7:30pm.

Gurney (Love Letters, Sylvia, Black Tie at Primary Stages) and directed by David Saint (Clever Little Lies). DOWNSTAIRS by Theresa Rebeck ("Smash," Dead Accounts, Poor Behavior at Primary Stages), directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (What We're Up Against) in November 2018 will star Tyne Daly (Mother & Sons, Master Class) and Tim Daly ("Wings," "Madam Secretary") sharing the New York stage for the first time. Early 2019 will bring GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler (Two Mile Hollow), directed by Morgan Gould (Kentucky); and the season will conclude in Spring 2019 with LITTLE WOMEN, written by Kate Hamill (Pride and Prejudice), based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George). Performance schedules, additional casting, and full creative teams will be announced at a later date.

Preview performances have begun for A.R. Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valley- based award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company will conclude its 2018 theatrical season with a production of "The Cocktail Hour," a straight-up comedy about a family on the rocks. The play will star Lee Bryant, Jeffrey Jones, Chuck Yates, and Yo Younger, and will be directed by David Youse. "The Cocktail Hour" is a witty and perceptive play by A.R. Gurney that tells the story of a playwright who returns to his family home in 1970's upstate New York, bringing with him a new play, which he has written about his family. He wants to obtain their permission to proceed with production, but his very proper and wealthy parents are cautious and his sister is upset about how minor her role is in the play.

Second Stage Theater has announced that Tony Award winner BLAIR BROWN will join the previously announced EMMA GEER, TATIANA MASLANY and SUSAN POURFAR in the New York Premiere of TRACY LETTS' acclaimed play, MARY PAGE MARLOWE, directed by LILA NEUGEBAUER.
