Born on November 29, 1986 in Bakersfield, California, Tory Devon Smith attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles majoring in Theater Arts. Tory was heavily involved in the department and was featured in over 15 productions in his four year stint at LMU including: The Laramie Project, This Place on Third Avenue, A Winter’s Tale, and My Children, My Africa. Tory graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2009 along with various honors including Senior Performer of the Year, the Alvin Ailey Performing Arts Award from LMU’s LGBT community, and the Abbie Robinson Leadership award from LMU’s Black Student Union.
In 2011, along with writer, director, creator Anthony Bergeron, Tory starred in the hilarious hit comedy web-series Black &White, an official selection of the 2012 HollyWeb Festival . ?
In 2012, Tory took his training further as he enrolled at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under the direction of Gary Grossman. Tory currently performs across the Los Angeles area in theater and film. In 2013 Tory wrapped a co-starring role in the SAG/AFTRA short film titled Pepper under the direction of Marc Cleary and Craig Robert Young. Tory Smith was most recently seen in the theater production of Dantalian for A Working Theater Company that ran in November of 2013. In the Spring of 2014, Tory booked a co-starring role on NBC’s LifeSaver produced by Wil Calhoun and directed by 3- time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis. Tory can recently be seen in the stage production of Martin Duty Calls at the Acme Comedy Theater in Hollywood, CA September 26-28th 2014, and the upcoming production/series Los Feliz,90027 at the Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz, CA beginning October 2014

Kennedy and Richie Garcia and written & directed by Jake Wilson ('You Must be Joking,' 'Battery's Down').
