BIO

Born and raised in Denver, Scott has performed extensively at regional theaters in Colorado and across the country, including more than 130 productions and nearly 2,100 performances. Most recently, Scott recorded the Studio Cast Album of That Parenting Musical, singing the role of Todd/Narrator. The album also features Broadway's Christopher Jackson (Hamilton and In the Heights), Kara Lindsay (Newsies and Wicked), Tony winner Bonnie Milligan (Kimberly Akimbo), Max Crumm (Grease and TPM Off-Broadway), and Vidushi Goyal (TPM Off-Broadway). The album will be distributed by Joy Machine Records and is anticipated to be released in the fall of 2026. The album was recorded in NYC at Power Station and Renaissance Studios in August 2026 with engineering by Ian Kagey.


Other favorite roles include Bud Davenport (Gutenberg! The Musical! at the Denver Center for Performing Arts), Max Bialystock (The Producers), Dave Bukatinsky (Full Monty), both Nathan Detroit and Nicely (Guys and Dolls), Amos Hart (Chicago), both Max and Tito (Lend Me a Tenor), and both “men” in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. You may have also seen him in various regional and national television commercials.

Scott was nominated for a Denver Post Ovation Award for his portrayal of William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and reprised the role in a touring production throughout Colorado. He was also nominated for Best Actor in a Musical as Max Bialystock in The Producers and Best Supporting Actor in a Play as Tito Morelli in Lend Me A Tenor, both by Broadway World Denver. In addition, Scott was nominated for an Ovation Award for Best Performance in a Children’s Production, and won the “Reader’s Choice” award for his portrayal of Toad in the Arvada Center’s A Year with Frog & Toad. He was also recently featured in the 2024 True West Awards, selected by John Moore of the Denver Gazette, for replacing an injured actor in a six-month run of the 2-person musical Gutenberg! at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts with only a few days of rehearsal.

Scott also originated the role of Cholly Butts in the World Premiere of Walton Jones’ The 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol, music by David Wohl, and lyrics by Faye Greenberg (Disney’s High School Musical), available through Samuel French.

​​From 2018 through 2024, Scott focused on helping to create a new musical, written by a couple from Colorado, called In the Trenches: A Parenting Musical. He originated the role of Todd/Narrator in various readings and workshops, including his Off-Broadway/NYC debut with Trenches at 54 Below, as well as in the World Premiere at Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton, CO. In 2023 and 2024, Scott and his wife, Angela, took on a different role with the show, this time as co-producers for an industry reading, industry workshop, and 8-week Off-Broadway run in NYC at Theatre Row (under its new title, That Parenting Musical) through their production company, Blue i Productions LLC.

He is currently working with the same writing team as they develop another musical, Miss Manhattan, about Audrey Munson, America's first supermodel. Scott originated the role of "The Many Men of Audrey Munson" for the show's reading at The Arts Hub in Lafayette, Colorado in April 2024 and several workshop performances at Boulder's Dairy Arts Center in the fall of 2025. In August of 2026, Miss Manhattan was selected as one of 10 "NAMT-Recommended" new musicals by the National Alliance for Musical Theatre. It was also nominated for a Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical.

He is a past adjudicator for the Denver Center's Bobby G Awards, which are part of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards program, and a graduate of the University of Denver, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA. He previously served on the Denver Center’s Young Professional Advisory Board, was a member of the executive board of the Colorado Theatre Guild, and is a past president of the Avenue Theater. He is currently a board member and treasurer for the Denver Actors Fund. He lives in Denver with his beautiful wife and two sons. When not on stage, he can be found spending time with his family or working in real estate as a consultant and commercial appraiser.
