Jonathan Price BIO

Jonathan Price is an American composer for film, opera, theatre, tv, and concert works. He scored the film Girl Meets Boy, starring Ben Savage and Jake Busey, and the score to the musical Earthbound, which received LA Weekly's "Pick of the Week." His film scores include New Line's Cyber Wars, American World Pictures' Necrosis, and Showtime's Rustin (written by The Hangover scribe Jon Lucas, and shot by The Dark Knight cinematographer Wally Pfister). His opera The Lion and the Wood Nymph was a winner of New Opera Works' OIAM competition, and his pentaptych opera ÆSOPERA is the recipient of the American Composers Forum Subito grant.

Jonathan's music for television has been heard on Showtime, The Discovery Channel, TLC, Oxygen, MTV, PAX, PBS, and Fox. With playwright/lyricist Jeff Goode (The Eight: Reindeer Monologues), he composed the song "The Hubba Hubba Hula" for The Disney Channel's American Dragon: Jake Long, as well as the family musical Rumpelstiltskin, published by Samuel French.

His work as a soundtrack producer and synthesist can be heard in The Grudge, The Country Bears, The Shipping News, Runaway Jury, An Unfinished Life, Shade, The Core, and Bandits.

Chi non ha in casa almeno un cd in cui non ci sia una canzone di Andrew Lloyd Weber: che sia un original cast recording, una compilation o semplicemente una cover, le composizioni di Lloyd Weber sono tra le più conosciute canzoni di musical al mondo. Tutti i più grandi interpreti si sono prima o poi cimentati in una delle sue composizioni tanto che sarebbe impossibile citarli tutti. Se i musical di Sir Andrew sono tra i più visti al mondo e detengono record invidiabili di durata in cartellone sia a Broadway che nel West End, altrettanto non si può dire delle versioni cinematografiche che non sempre sono ben riuscite. The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton will present their fan favorite pick of the year, Evita. The production features Broadway star Sean McDermott and American's Got Talent sensation and Miami resident Daniella Mass in the iconic musical. The astonishing Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice mega-hit won multiple Tony Awards including Best Musical 1980 and Best Revival 2012. The Wick Theatre's production runs January 16 through February 23, with 2pm matinee and 7:30pm evening performances. 18th Annual Young Playwrights Competition Accepts Entries Now Through January 24


The Theater Project is once again reaching out to creative young people in its 18th annual Young Playwrights Competition. Winners receive cash prizes and see their work performed by professional actors at the awards ceremony in March of 2020.   The submission deadline is January 24, 2020. New Jersey's high school playwrights submit their short plays at TheTheaterProject.org web site, where they will find all the necessary entry guidelines and formatting rules.

The three prize winners will see their work performed by the professional actors of The Theater Project; honorable mentions will be presented with citations and gift certificates. The event, which is free and open to the public, has been proudly supported by grants from New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Investors Foundation and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance.
