Yiqing Zhao BIO

Yiqing Zhao is an actress/singer/writer based in New York City. She made her regional theatre debut in musical “Utopia Parkway”, with Single Carrot Theatre in Baltimore, and her NY theatre debut with Theatre for the New City, in “Float The Musical”, as a part of the 2015 Dream Up Festival. Other theatre credits include “Vagina Monologues” in Chavy Chase Auditorium in Johns Hopkins Hospital, “Twelve Angry Women” at Roebuck Theatre, “Lizards” at Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She performed at Merkin Concert Hall in the 2018 Spring Festival Gala as a soloist.

Yiqing played a leading part of an indie series “ Sisterhood: Libertad” and a supporting part of a feature film “Orchard Beach”. She recently collaborated with Min Ding, an internationally-awarded director, starred in her film “ The Collector”, and sang the soundtrack.

Yiqing switched to performing in 2016, after she graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree in public health and minor in theatre arts. Yiqing then resumed her training in the 2-year Conservatory Program at Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
